Pulse Family Practice

My family doctor moved from an old New Hamburg practice to Pulse and the difference is incredible! The office is great, all the equipment and furniture are brand new, the receptionists are fantastic to deal with and answer calls in a timely manner, the nurses are friendly and my family doctor is amazing. If/when they are accepting new patients I would recommend Pulse (specifically Dr. Rinaldi) to anyone in the area looking for a family doctor.

Doctors are great. But terrible phone hours, and no online booking. Hard to find an appointment since you can only call on the phone during very specific hours (no calling during your lunch because they are closed). Admin rarely pulls up your files properly and you have to give them the whole history over again. Only for people who work from home and are available during daytime to keep calling for appointments.With all the hoops to jump through, it's like they don't want to see you

Dr. Pitre does not take health seriously. I had a throat infection and she told me I was just imagining things. Another time, I had another type of infection and she told me to wait for a specialist - I ended up going to the hospital right away I was that sick. Another time I was in an accident and she told me to rest, instead of referring me to specialist care. One time, she prescribed me the wrong type of medication and wrong instructions so I had to take time off work due to the wide effects. On top of that she takes too much time off. Any walk in doctor is better.

I don’t normally write google reviews but this clinic deserves one for how terrible it is. The office hours do not mean they are accepting phone calls - I tried calling 3 days in row, 2 weeks ago, and every day there was a recording saying “they were no longer taking calls today,” one of these occasions was at 10:00am. I reached out over Instagram because there was no other way to reach anyone and oddly enough I was responded to immediately, yet I was told they were “too busy” to answer phones, meanwhile they’re replying on social media. I used to be a patient of Dr. Cameron’s and since the switch it has been downhill. Never have I felt more like a number.The care from certain doctors is also extremely terrible and the fact you can’t even speak directly to your doctor over the phone is ridiculous. And there front desk staff will read you the doctors note with no clue what they mean, yet you have to wait 3 weeks to see a doctor. So you’re stressing up until that point.Find a new healthcare facility if you can! Do not recommend.

We love Dr. English and Dr. Kolev as our family doctors. we have liked all the doctors we have seen here and there in absence of our doctors or same day apt for urgent matters. Overall great practice, we feel welcomed and taken care of.

My spouse and I are new patients of Dr.Louise Shaw since Sept 22, 2022 after moving to Waterloo from another city in Ontario. We are so pleased to find such a knowledgeable, caring and professional Doctor who fully explains health issues and pursues treatment to resolution. Dr. Shaw is an amazing family doctor, who goes above and beyond for her patients. She listens attentively. She explains her thoughts very well, making sure we have a good understanding, and involved us in decision making, and will follow up when necessary even after hour. She provides the best quality care. The reception, nurses and the rest of the staff are fantastic and very efficient. The clinic is clean, vibrant, modern and has comfortable environment. Overalll, we are very happy with this practice. Thank you Dr. Shaw and staff!

Dr. Takacs is a fantastic doctor. Whenever I call with a concern for myself or my little one, she has always brought us in within a day or two. She is incredibly kind, compassionate and always very thorough in investigating any health concerns. Our family feels very lucky to have her as our family physician.

My family and I are exceedingly grateful for the high quality care we have received from Pulse Family Practice. We have seen a few of their physicians/nurses, and all have been excellent. Professional, fantastic bedside manner, and great with kids.
