I love love love Amaranth! I’ve made several orders of clay and glazes and the staff are always super helpful! They are super knowledgeable and very patient with me when I ask a million questions! They respond super quickly to emails and are very organized.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Meet The Wheel workshop. Amaranth is a fun and relaxed atmosphere and provides a great creative space.Would recommend and will be back!

Great place! Staff was very knowledgeable and helping me select a product I have not tried before that ought to fit my need. Glaze selection was impressive - the best, and most complete selection I've seen in a long time!

Did a Meet the Wheel class with Owen, who was an excellent instructor. However when we got our pieces back they had clearly been mistreated before and after firing. They were deformed and chipped from rough handling to the point where I threw them out. Very disappointing.

I am currently doing a class with Steve and couldn't love it more! The class has definitely ignited a love of pottery - and the registration was easy and smooth. Steve, in particular, is so encouraging and helpful! I can't wait til my next class! Thank you for putting on these classes and workshops!

Our work group loved the 2-hour gnome making session at Amaranth. Fantastic team building activity that let us explore our artistic side.Our instructor was knowledgeable, giving art tips alongside interesting tidbits about clay!Recommended for work groups, date night, or family outings!

If I could give this store a higher than 5, I would! The store is lovely with beautiful hand thrown items to purchase, an amazing array of clays, glazes, tools etc. Here they sell Georgie’s glazes (the glazes that everyone in the Pacific Northwest drive hrs to their shop to buy.). Believe me, I used to do it!More than anything is how helpful and friendly the owner and her staff are. I will have no problem in the future driving the 2 hrs from Ottawa to re-experience this lovely shop!

When I ordered from Amaranth and deliberately chose glazes that were listed as being in stock since I needes them asap. After several days I hadn't recieved a shipping confirmation and emailed them. It turned out they didn't actually have one of the glazes and I could get a refund for the pint and they'd ship the rest of my order or i could wait. I try to make glaze orders worth it since I'm also paying shipping. I didn't want to have to reorder from somewhere else and pay another shipping charge so I waited. The glaze took a while to come in and I noticed it was listed as being back in stock on the site and I still didn't have a shipping confirmation. It took several emails and eventually I had to call them before they shipped my glazes. It sounds like their shipping and receiving is disorganized and understaffed.This looks like a good store to visit in person, but I won't order from them again.They also call COVID CONVID in their communications. I'm not sure if they're anti-vacc or made a typo.

This review is only based on the beginner pottery sessions that Amaranth Stoneware offers. We booked a private session for 4 of us this past weekend.. I have nothing but praise for the whole experience. The space was well laid out, clean, and bright. The equipment was fully functional and well maintained. Our instructor Nick was friendly, patient, and very skilled. He had a great supportive attitude, positive energy, and the whole session process was simple and organized to provide 2 hours of throwing pottery fun. Very happy with our visit to Amaranth Stoneware.
