I have always wanted to learn to ride. So at the age of 57, I decided to check this off my bucket list. I found JohnMel Stables on FB and after a bit of research and comparison, decided to enrol in their “Horsemanship” programme. This was the best decision I could’ve made and I cannot compliment this programme enoughWorking with an experienced trainer, you will learn horse behaviour and herd dynamics, handling and grooming, tacking and horse/rider safety.This knowledge and basic experience has given me the confidence to progress towards “getting in the saddle” Thank you so much JohnMel Stables for helping me realize a life long dream!

Went on a trail ride with a group of girlfriends. We had a great time and the horses were very well behaved, especially given that we had some surprise hail and a big lightning and thunder boom on an otherwise gorgeous sunny fall day. The trail is beautiful - quite narrow and hilly with varied terrain but the horses handled it well.

My wife and her friend did their trail ride and absolutely loved it! Like, 'We need to adjust our budgeting to fit more trail rides; it's worth not having avocado toast to have these rides!' kind of loved it.Very friendly and professional. The guide took lots of great photos for them, knowing the most photogenic areas. My wife is still beaming about it a week later.Definitely will be returning!The only downside is that they don't have clear signage for Johnmel at the entrance.

My daughter is attending lessons at this stable. It is an absolutely incredible experience for her and me as a parent. She is actually truly learning how to manage a horse, take care of horse, read the horses behavior and be aware as well as ride. She is making progress, unlike in other stables when she sat on a horse and went around in a circle. Her trainer Liana is absolutely incredible, we have both learned so much in a short period . The stables are absolutely stunning, one of the nicest I have seen, and they are truly blessed to have a Liana as a trainer because she is amazing.

Amazing facility and super friendly staff. Horses were gorgeous and well taken care of. The trails we rode on were well taken care of and gorgeous! Highly recommend heading out for a ride!

It was my first time on a horse. The staff is friendly the horses are beautiful. The grounds are beautiful. The trail is great. Looking forward to coming back.

I had a wonderful experience trail riding with a friend and Mel as a guide. Trail went through a beautiful forest and along a water reservoir. Everyone we met at the facility was friendly and helpful, horses were happy and well cared for. Definitely recommend JOHNMEL Stables to anyone looking for a fun and safe trail experience.
