Osmow's Shawarma

Entered the store at 9:32pm, saw the unwelcome expression of the lady on the counter and asked to confirm if they were still open, she nodded and mumbled a yes, but only half heartedly. We were only visiting Hamilton and are from Milton, where Osmows is our all time favorite place to get our food, and it’s never disappointed us, not in the least. We were hungry and decided to get Osmows, thinking we could count on them to deliver some heartfelt meal, but not, where we disappointed. We’ve never been disappointed with any Osmows, but I guess there’s a first time for everything. We’d already felt unwelcome and to top it off, our 2 year old decided to get sick right when we were placing our order. To say we were embarrassed, would be the understatement of the year. My husband apologized profusely, and the miss taking our order, who’d already made us feel bad about entering the store, quit talking to us completely and started pretending to ignore us. I hurriedly placed my order, asked for a Chicken poutine, light to medium spice, my all time favorite, and rushed my daughter to the bathroom to clean her up. Husband placed the rest of the order, we came out of the bathroom, and husband was being helped by two other guys who were in a way better mood than the miss. We collected our food and hurriedly left. We didn’t even get our receipt. Sat in the parking lot outside to eat, as it was 15 minutes to 10pm, and their closing time. Found out my poutine was the spiciest level ever. Two lines of spice, in a cross. My eardrums caught fire! Husbands shawarma turned out to be a medium when he’d ordered a large, but since we didn’t have the receipt, there was no point going in to argue. Kids didn’t eat the half n half we got them, they didn’t like the taste of something that they bed for almost every night, so I tasted them, and I honestly never thought Osmows rice could get that bad, they were extremely weird tasting, very soft, clumpy, bad all over! I’m not sure what’s going on with this branch, but someone’s need to do some serious fixing. We’re never coming back to say the least, but thought it best to warn others too.

Excellent service from my experience. When I asked for the lamb, they were honest and said it wasn’t ready yet. I ordered the chicken instead, and while I was ordering, they let me know the lamb was ready and offered to switch it—I thought that was very kind, and they didn’t need to.The hot sauce is definitely a kick as well!

Average tasting food, BUT my order was sitting ready for pickup at least one hour ahead of time, it was missing one item, just like the last time. Very disappointing. :-(

I have been to this location twice. Each time has been disappointing. I go to a few locations 1-2 times a week but this location is garbage. The food tastes nothing like any other location. Nearly no sauce. Missing garlic sauce. Why does my Cesar salad have a vinaigrette on it?? Go to the location on Osler if you want a good Osmow’s. How is this attached photo a Philly Chicken Oz Box????Edit: I have called numerous times to speak with someone and not once has anyone answered the phone. Kindly do not reply for me to call you and then not answer the phone.

Specified no onion on the salad order noticed that it wasn’t keyed in on the register screen so i politely reminded the gentleman that was beside a woman making the food so she could hear as well. She made it with onion and I heard him telling her “no no” to which she turned to me and said oh it has onion you should had told him. I said I’m yea I did actually twice and one time in front of you as I can see you are making it. She then said oh well he’s training and then rummaged her fingers through my salad to pick them out instead of just remaking the salad as it was the only part made. So I said you know I would prefer to just have my money back I don’t like your fingers in my food and she refused and said they have a no refund policy that I asked well where is that posted? Which she agreed it wasn’t. Not only that it was a special for Sunday which they over charged me. So I had no choice but to pay for my food that I didn’t want. A shame because I really had a great experience before but now instead of continuing to support this business I will not.

Best food most filling best priceI love this place and the staff are very very kind. I’ve been to almost all there locations. Lamb on the rocks is rice, sticks is fries. Enjoyyy

Need to work on white sauce it is very different as compared to other osmows or maybe it is because the owner is Indians he may have discovered cheap white sauce receipe.

While the meal was tasty and the service was nice...I ended up getting pretty bad food poisoning 4 hours later.Other than a piece of bread from early the same morning that was my only food of the day. I'd recommend the establishment to enforce better quality control...

We visited today for takeout. The chicken shawarma was good. But the 'on the rocks' was just 'Okay'The staff was so friendly and explained very well.I will try again soon..
