Boulangerie Samos

You know you’ve build your taste buds up for something delicious and it winds up being a disappointment? Well, that pretty much describes my experience at Boulangerie Samos. Firstly, the donuts are huge, which itself is not an issue with a good neutral oil. But when one fries donuts the size Samos serves in a cheap flavoured oil, they taste of oil which lingers long after you’ve finished. Secondly, the beef empanada which taste more like spaghetti Bolognese wrapped in pastry shell. It carries none of the flavours one expects of chili, cumin or paprika… but at least you taste an abundance of tomato.Here is the thing, the customer service is top notch, but the food is an issue easily rectified. Until then, I would not recommend this bakery.

Cute little Greek bakery that sells a variety of items. We picked up some holiday cookies - 12 biscuits for about $24. They also have some lunch items like moussaka available.

Lovely lovely lovely bakery. The woman inside made me feel the love through the sweets.I came in twice because I was shy to order in French in front of a huge crowd.Luckily she speaks 4 languages, great atmosphere and lovely desserts.I will be back

The best Mousaka in the world. Home made Greek baked goods, soups etc. are excellent. Great service. My go-to when I need a fast and affordable homemade meal for me or if I am having company or if I want to bring a dish to someone I am visiting.

I bought 3 pastries for $11; feels steep for the quality of the pastries... The cinnamon roll was okay but the palm's heart was so disappointing :( first and last time I bought from these bakeries. I know times are tough, but that's no excuse for selling stale pastries.

LOVED THIS PLACE. I went here during a festival and the owners were so so so nice. We talked greek together and the lovely woman gave me a free donut. It was TO DIE for. Their frappe, sandwich and baklava were really good too!

When the place already win your heart by the smell when you walk by, you know it’s gonna be REAL GOOD! Cheap bread best spanakopita, best tiramisu and good coffee!! Really love this place!

Love this place, ive been coming for years for the sugar donut with a coffee.They have all sorts of to go meals and all for great price. All in the picture below only cost me 7$, i always stop by when in the plateau!

The best boulangerie in la plataue, they sell delicious bread and baked goods as well as fantastic ready made meals and dough. Their prices are the best I've seen and the people working at Samos are the sweetest in Montréal.

Food is good when I heated it. But -1 star for the attitude of lady at cash. We were looking around what to buy and she didn’t like that. She yelled at me, “can I help you with anything?” in a manner suggesting if you don’t want to buy anything, get out. That’s rude. Nevertheless, I still bought but I’m really put off with the attitude. 3 items for 15$. I don’t know if I still want to buy and getting some attitude.
