Golden Nordic Ski Club | The Golden Nordic Club is a registered non-profit organization with a purpose to develop and promote cross-country skiing in the Golden District by making it affordable, family oriented, inclusive, educational and a world class Nordic skiing experience. Our website provides club members and visitors with information on Dawn Mountain Nordic Centre trail conditions, ski and snowshoe equipment rentals, adult skate and classic lessons and youth programs and events.

Wonderful place: 2min away from Kicking Horse ski resort village, easy free parking, lovely staff, very good rental gear, groomed trails, beautiful scenery in the trees, trails for snow shoes too. Would totally recommend this place.

Golden Nordic Ski Club - Dawn Mountain Trails
Stunning trails both for views and skiing. Beautiful and friendly challet (there's even a tin of waxes for use if the one you have isn't working on that day). Having said that, the conditions are often so consistent there's not much need for monkeying around with different waxes. The trails are well maintained for classic and skating, with a good range from easy to challenging, from short to long and longer loops. It's really difficult to keep skiing and not stop to look at the scenery, especially on the lower trails. Love this place!

We were so glad we booked a semi-private lesson during our trip. The lesson was great, we were able to make use of all the tips the next day. We'll be back, and probably get another lesson before the season is over.

This a beautiful cross country skiing center. They have trails for all level skier and well maintained. The volunteers are very friendly and welcoming. Strongly suggest this center to have fun with friends and/or the whole family.

Loved the trails, the grooming was great, but the trails could be marked a little better as I only planned to go for a 30 minute ski and turned into 2 hours. Look forward to more runs.

A day at dawn mountain is a day well spent. Beautifully groomed trails surrounded by snowy trees. Absolutely love spending time up here. Staff is always helpful and friendly.

Golden Nordic Ski Club - Dawn Mountain Trails
Really enjoyed the trails here, the main greens from the lodge had some nice incline and led to a good workout for me (I'm a beginner) and there were plenty of options off of these main trails that some advanced people on the trails were taking advantage of. I came in mid-January 2021 and even though there were plenty of cars in the parking lot the trails did not seem packed and there was plenty of space to ski and it never felt like people were breathing down your neck. The staff at the chalet were very friendly, enjoyed the day!

Went to Golden for the Huckleberry loppet cross country ski race. Well organized event. Trails were well marked for the race. Great area for both classic and skate techniques. They have a lovely club house and rentals if needed. Highly recommend!

Around every corner is another mountain view. Everyone here is very friendly! It is easy to rent gear and the trails are well groomed. The views are amazing throughout the trails. Awesome nordic club!!

The Golden Nordic Club does a fantastic job operating the Nordic centre! The network of trails has been well thought out and has something for every ability of cross country skier. The grooming is immaculate, the chalet is warm and cozy, and the scenery is amazing. Thanks to all the hard working volunteers who make this Nordic club run!
