Galaxy Shoe Repair

Workmanship looked very good and he was quite pleasant. It took too long to get the job done and wouldn't have taken item (dog collar) to Galaxy knowing it would take so long. Very frustrating as on so many occasions I couldn't reach you by phone and business was closed so many times when business hours normally are open. I am a very positive person so I don't like to state negative things but as a paying customer I really believe your business practice could improve in accountability and efficiency. I wish you all the very best but I won't be back. Thank you.

Excellent craftsmanship, very reasonable prices. Work was done in a timely manner, considering there are very few Shoe Repair Shops left out there. All in all a great experience. Thank you Jimi !

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR SHOES HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT THEM! If you're willing to spend money on repairing your shoes then you must, so you should not trust leaving them at this business for many reasons you see in the negative reviews that I wish I read before leaving mine here. Not only did I have to attempt to pick them up 7 separate times before he was actually opened, they came back very DAMAGED. I did phone & email as suggests but he never answered at all either way, nor ever updated temporary hours on Google, as checked before going each time & was never once updated to show closed. These shoes were special to me as I bought them in Italy & they just needed the strap adjusted & went in clean with no damage at all, & came back dirty with cracked suede, & loose stitching. Regardless of the 6 week sign, I was told they would be ready sooner for when I needed them for an event & they were not. The excuses about being a one man shop & illness are unprofessional after how long he has been using this excuse, as at this point he should either hire an assistant to honour the hours listed at least for pickup, or perhaps could just become a by appointment only business with no storefront hours at all- but then he'd actually have to be organized enough to be there for appointments & learn not to damage shoes. My shoes were literally under a pile of other heavy boots & such which is likely how they got damaged- especially when dealing with other's property it should not be treated with such disregard of their value. I am so regretful for leaving my shoes here at all. I never have left a negative review before as do not wish to harm small businesses, but with an experience as awful as this I felt I really had to share to warn others as this is not a business that should be supported, unless he finally takes the negative review seriously & finally improves his business practices. I do not wish to have a response from the owner as there's nothing he can do or say to make it right that he damaged my irreplaceable shoes.

The amount of people who complain about someone being really sick from an illness they can't control is by far the worst thing I have seen in humanity. I personally know 3 people who have dropped dead of the illness this gentalman has been dealing with. I am a nurse and I see this all the time. For someone to have to apologize for being on their death bed is so sad. Makes me wonder, would it be different if he had cancer or a stroke?.... Anyways I 100% love this shop and the young gentleman that runs it. He has been working on my footwear for years now, and never an issue. Jimi repaired a vintage pair of roots hiking boots for me, I'm very happy with the quality of the work and was very happy with the price as well. I can tell he's very busy, but the wait is worth it for the job he does.

Previous two days I have went to this store during business hours and the store has been closed. My experience gets even worse as you read. I gave my boots to have them redone back in November 2022. It is now July 2023 and I have not heard a word from this guy. I submitted a Facebook request but nothing. I've went to his store multiple times, during opening hours to find the store closed. When I do get to talk to the guy to find out the progress, it's a new story. I feel horrible knowing this guy has my boots which mean a lot to me and $200 of my dollars.

Quality work! Took a little longer than expected, but I understand the business owner fell ill with a serious illness. Sometimes life circumstances happen and I hope others will be a little kinder in their comments and be more supportive of this local business owner as he tries to get back on his feet.

Pros - did a great job reheeling my boots.Cons - took four months to complete, I was never told the price when I dropped off the shoes (he was quite gruff when I arrived and handed me the ticket with no convo or anything, so I felt uncomfortable asking, tbh), was never called when the shoes were finished, and the kicker!?!? It cost me $31.50 to reheel a very standard pair of boots that I wanted to consign in the first place. Imagine my shock. I have never ever in my life paid more than $10-$15 to reheel boots/heels, and I’ve done dozens and dozens of pairs in the last 15 years. Just ridiculous prices in my opinion!

The worst customer service I have ever received from a business, this place deserves 0 stars. DO NOT get anything repaired from this shop. I dropped off my high heels to have the soles repaired on November 1st, 2022 and was told it would take 6 weeks. 8 weeks passed and I got no phone call from the owner. Since it was around the holidays I just waited until after new years to contact him as I know people get busy. I tried contacting the owner via phone multiple times and got no reply. I then emailed him and Facebook messaged him and still got no reply. Finally 2 weeks later I went into the shop to ask about my shoes and told him I had messaged him via email and Facebook. Not once did he apologize but instead he had multiple excuses. He asked for another week and said he would call me. It took another 2.5 weeks for them to be finished. So in total it took him 14 weeks to fix my shoes even though he told me it would take about 6 weeks. I finally picked up my shoes today and he did a terrible job. Do not waste your money here.Edit reply: Actually you are a liar. You did not apologize once or told me that you were sick and away. Why would I leave my shoes with you for another 3 months? You’re untrustworthy, take no accountability and are a terrible business owner. Just read your other reviews of people that had similar situations.
