Our experience with Ideal Fence was amazing! All staff involved from estimate, prep, installation and administration were highly professional, quick, efficient, knowledgeable and ultra responsive. Special shout out to Brandon, Jessica and Christine who answered all my emails, calls and questions with speed and a smile. This was our second year asking for a quote which they were happy to provide again. Once ready to book, the entire process was so smooth for us and our involved neighbours. Work stared an entire month earlier than first estimated! Removal of old fence and post installation was done in a few hours. It was like watching The Flash at work in our yard. And super tidy and organized. Installation took place a few days later as the footings have to dry first and that was the longest we ever had to wait for anything. (As part of the process, be prepared to live without a fence for a couple of days). Installation was just as quick and super professional. High quality job! All crews were very respectful and polite. I was concerned about them working in ridiculous heat and humidity and often brought them cool water but I didn’t see them take any breaks. Machines! After installation, a few minor concerns and corrections were taken care of immediately after we called. It sometimes felt like I hung up the phone and the doorbell rang. Superb! Finished product looks amazing and is extremely sturdy. The look of our yard has been completely upgraded. We will enjoy for years to come! Call Ideal Fence now. You won’t be sorry!

Earlier this year, I placed an order for two fences (a 6' high cedar fence for my house including removal of the existing fence, a 7' high composite fence for my partner's house). After a competitive bidding process (involving 3 reputable Ottawa firms), I selected Ideal Fence as I was impressed with their knowledge, professionalism and pricing; Randy was our salesperson and he was excellent to work with. The work was completed ahead of schedule and within budget; the workmanship was top notch (I've never seen fence posts lined up quite that perfectly). And perhaps just as importantly, when we experienced two minor issues with our composite fence, Ideal Fence were on site within 48 hours to address the situation - to me, this is the true measure of a company that walks the talk when they speak about customer satisfaction. It has been a great experience working with Ideal Fence, from start to finish.

My reply: This is NOT a hate mail but our experience with your company. We don’t want to affect our neighbours who have signed with you or even the guy who still works there, so we rather not to reveal his name. We understand not all your reps are rude. We also don’t need a resolution but a sincere apology would be appropriated and we hope you would pay closer attention to your customer service in the future.This is what happened.He booked us in for measurements for June 22, 2022. All our neighbours reserved the morning for him, he came and kept complaining “it was a lot of work” and left! Then he turned up on August 10, 2022. He finishes few houses and took off wasted everyone’s time again! People booked a day off for him did you know? Then he said he would come back to finish the rest and didn’t turn up again. My neighbour needed to follow up multiple times until the measurements were done. When I tried to call in to add to an extra gate weeks before we received the quote. it took him 3 days to call back. He gave me attitude and raised his voice saying we were giving him extra work. We started inquiring on May 26, 2022, we only got a quote on September 15, 2022. 4 whole months! Your quote for us was on the pricier side which was expected for a bigger sized company. If your guy was nicer, we would have totally go with our neighbours because few of them had already their fences done with you so we know what to expect. But what we couldn’t accept was the way your costumer service rep treated us.My review: Terrible customer service. Rude, unprofessional and impolite. Slow to return calls and emails. Got an estimate after 4 whole months wasted my whole summer when I could have done my fence 4 months before. Sharing with neighbours is more economical but our sales rep’s attitude was so unbearable, we rather build our own fence and went with another company which ordered from the same supplier. We ended up getting the same colour PVC with 3 sides matching for $3000 less.

Update: After a number of calls that were not returned, the quality manager showed up for the 2nd time, agreed on a resolution, but changed their mind. Since they took my money without approval from my credit card I have little recourse. Customer Service is appalling Do not give your credit card for staged payments.Very quick to take money, slow to deliver. Contracted in September but they delayed until April the following year. Fence was installed and it left huge gaps under the fence, requires a filler piece at the end, and garbage needed to be pick up. which their quality service person agreed. A month later nothing was done. I called and calls were not returned. You can only speak to admin staff. The company took the last payment without my approval and the work is still not done!Full of excuses.

First impressions of Ideal were good as they were quick to get back to us with a quote. Once it came time to implement the fence build, it was pretty disorganized. At first we were told that there wouldn't be a site visit before hand, and then they called out of the blue and said they'd be here in 30 minutes. Still, we were just glad to have a site visit before they started digging and to get things rolling.The guys that came to dig and later to install the fence were friendly, and at the end of the day, we have a nice looking fence that feels solid. My biggest issue is their attention to detail and their clean-up. The project was to install a dog run in the backyard. Knowing it was for a pet, I'd expect them to clean up a bit better. Small cut offs (<2) I could understand

Great experience with this team. Easy quote, just had to send a picture of the layout and total measurements. Pricing was very reasonable compared to other quotes I received. They gave me an estimate of 5 weeks to get the fence done. They came and did it on week 3. Posts was one day and fencing was 2 days later. Very good work and minimal disturbances to my yard. Cleaned up well. The fence looks great, solid posts and everything is nice and squared up to the house. Billing was simple and they have many options for payment. Overall fantastic experience!!!

We recently had ideal fence do the fence around our yard. We were really impressed with their professionalism throughout the project. They kept in touch, did quality inspections to make sure everything was done to our liking and the workers were very friendly and respectful to us and our property.
