North Shore Taxi

If there was a zero star choice I would have picked it. I reserved a wheel chair cab a day earlier for my 93 year old mother to visit with her grandchildren for the first time in three months. I was running late getting to her home so I called and changed our reservation to a half hour later. I actually managed to arrive on time so I called to let the dispatcher know we were ready whenever a cab was available. We waited outside the home for almost two hours. I called the dispatcher a few times during our wait and he never had any information about our booking, saying there were a couple of drivers in Horseshoe Bay and one on break at Park Royal who he was unable to contact. I finally gave up waiting and took my mum who was visibly upset back into the home for dinner. When I came back out, now three hours since originally requesting service, the situation was still the same. I cancelled the booking so nobody else would lose out, and when I was speaking to the dispatcher and politely explaining the situation, I said Thank you North Shore Cabs for this outcome and the dispatcher said something about being interested in the news and weather and hung up the phone. I understand that there is a shortage of wheelchair cabs and I was willing to wait; however there appears to be little or no effort to answer calls in a manner that shows caring and respect for the clients. This company does not deserve the business of people who are vulnerable like my Mum.

I’m 15 years old and I almost got kidnapped no joke. Had to open the door and jump out while car was moving. I called them to try and report this and they started trying to hang up before I finished telling them what happened. Never got a call back. 0/5 don’t hop in a taxi with any of these freak shows

If I could give 0 I would! Where to start…..I left my wallet in the taxi and realised immediately, I then proceed to call the north shore number to get them in contact with my driver who conveniently couldn’t find my wallet (with 250$ in). This had my ID in which I cannot replace being from another country.Two days ago CAR NUMBER 107, stated his card machine didn’t work and when I asked if there was any other alternative proceed to shout at me to go to an ATM or get out of his car, in a very threatening manner! I called to complain to management who didn’t care one bit!Finally, their operators answering the phone (mainly this one woman) are rude and unhelpful. Customer service is non-excuses with this company and I recommend you do not use, Uber is WAY better. I would recommend this service if you had physically no other way to get to your destination.

This is an awful taxi company. The dispatcher is extremely rude! He doesn’t have a customer service bone in his body. Drivers are rude too and was talk to walk as it was a short distance…it was a walk over the highway which we weren’t comfortable doing and it’s uphill. Telling a disabled person to “just walk” is ridiculous and discriminatory…try to figure out an alternative company or transportation. Don’t even bother with North Shore Taxi. The owner needs to wake up! You’re already competing with Lyft and Uber… be business savy and clean sweep the people that aren’t serving customers as best they can.

They said they would be 15 minutes and after 30 minutes I called to ask where the cab was and they just said they weren’t coming there were no cabs in the area. I asked why they wouldn’t call me and let me know that they aren’t coming so I can arrange another ride and they just said that’s not their problem. Terrible service

Drivers want you to pay cash and get extremely annoyed and unhappy when you don't, because they get charged a percentage for card payments.They also expect you to be waiting for them, but when they make you wait, it should be nothing. Had multiple experiences where drivers go around circles or the opposite direction before they choose to leisurely end up where you are.Just had a driver that I booked through their app take another customer AFTER they accepted my trip just because they flagged them down. When I contacted dispatch after watching the driver go an entirely different direction and eventually concluding my trip, the dispatch just said ah

Our larger family reserved 2 taxis for an early morning flight. Both taxis were exactly on time (in fact 5 and 3 minutes early, respectively!). The drivers were both really lovely and the cars were both clean and very comfortable. We were a but leery after reading many reviews but we were so thrilled with our drives - a really relaxing start to a hectic travel day. Thanks!!

This afternoon I was cut off from this taxi driver. The driver did not turn on his signal (although the picture does show his right turn signal on, I believe it was due to my honking my horn indicating that he is required to do so when turning) The taxi nearly collided with my vehicle had I not slammed on my breaks. He sped away aggressively & I cannot fathom how dangerous the driver is to their passenger, fellow drivers and pedestrians when they display such careless driving on the road

I will ALWAYS use North Shore Taxi. When my son was small they never once screwed up picking him up from school and delivering him where he needed to go. When I've pre-booked they have been on time every time. When I made arrangements to be picked up downtown one night, they were there. I was not. There was a $20.00 service fee which I felt was reasonable and fair. When I went for a walk with my two dogs and exhausted myself, they came for me (and my dogs) and took us home. When I walked to the grocery store, but over shopped, they came for me and my groceries and drove us home. I'm about to pre-book for a 4:45 a.m. pick up to the airport and I have full confidence and absolutely no doubt they will be there for me, like they have consistently been there for me since 1985. I am safe and secure. The drivers (some may not know the area as well as I do, but that's okay) are thoughtful and polite. I will ALWAYS use North Shore Taxi, now and forever.
