Truffles Bistro

Went there last week for brunch. It was divine! My poached egg was a tad under-done but regardless the meal was excellent. Portions are small but that has always been the style here. Each small item on the plate is brilliant, well thought out, well-matched and creative.

Whether we're going for supper or for brunch, Truffles is always a great choice. The food is locally-inspired contemporary French cuisine using high quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation. The staff all seem to be professionals, not just passing through. I highly recommend Truffles - definitely in Saskatoon's upper tier of quality restaurants.

Amazing experience during you enjoy the food. Warm hearted service and magical food taste. Multi flavours in one meal combination, you do not want to waste any seconds to talk while the food in your mouth.

Overpriced: 7$ for a small cheesecake. The worse service I have ever had. Normally, terrible wait staff are forgetful or new. Here, the staff we had (except one) were malicious! They do not have a time that they close listed, so we went there for dessert and drinks. We called ahead to ensure that we could get seated. During our time there, a group of about 5 ladies came in and asked for a table for dessert and drinks. The staff at the front refused to seat them because it was the time that they served dinner, not dessert. There were only a handful of people in the restaurant. One of the staff involved in refusing them was one of our waitresses. She came to our table and said that she shouldn't have seated us, but, she said, I guess you can stay

Been here a few times now, and never had a bad meal. The service is great and they know what they're talking about. The food is fantastic, and won't break the bank. When we go out for supper somewhere, we want to be able to order something that we would not normally make at home, and Truffles is great at unique dishes.Worth every penny, budget about $70 per person for appy, meal, drinks and tip.

My husband and I keep coming back over and over because we enjoy your food and decor so much. Consistent quality, great staff, we love how locally you source your ingredients, and we are never afraid to order something new because it doesn't matter what u choose off of the menu as every dish I have experienced here has surprised me with how good well prepared food can be. We absolutely adore your restraint. One of the most exciting date nights we plan every year is attending your wine makers supper. You could put us on the permanent reservation list!

Decided to make it a special night with my girlfriend and take her out to one of Saskatoon's most highly rated fine-dining establishments. On the positive, the food was very good (although not quite up to the standards I would expect for the price) and the service was excellent. The restaurant itself was clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. The issue I had was with the other clientele, specifically their lack of proper attire. It's difficult to enjoy a romantic dinner when seated next to a gentleman wearing shorts, sandals, and a Star Wars t-shirt. Yes, a Star Wars t-shirt. Another customer-- who looked like an extra from Duck Dynasty--thought it permissible to enjoy fine dining while sporting a baseball cap. The lack of a dress code (sorely needed in this city, sadly) really detracted from the experience and killed any ambiance the restaurant was trying to achieve. For $250, it felt more like a very expensive Earls than a sophisticated downtown Bistro.

Truffles is amazing, so is the staff. Service is always personalized and pleasant, I love all the servers there. My boyfriend and I are regulars and we hope this beautiful little place never closes!

Lovely atmosphere. Lamb was full of flavour and cooked perfect for my taste, truffle fries were good but the homemade ketchup ( i am guessing) was most tasty! Salad was fresh with lots of little sample tastes to go with- cherries, nuts, homemade chips. Raspberry sorbet was a refreshing welcome to my pallet for dessert. Local foods used for ingredients. Service was above average with me mentioning my dietary (lactose intolerant) needs only one time to the waiter. He proceeded to tell me what dishes would be friendly" and those that would not be ."
