Grooming With Finesse

Extremely RUDE!I tried to cancel my appointment through the app they use for booking online but the app kept freezing on me so I called them with plenty of time and left a message. Nobody answer at the time, but I thought it was kind of cool to hear their catchy message on the machine...Today this lady called me wondering if I was coming! I explained I left a message to which she said I didn't. She asked if I booked before because my last name sounded familiar. I replied NO I'm an hour drive away, and then she actually said to me: WE ARE NOT TAKING ANY NEW CLIENTS DO NOT CALL AGAIN!She didn't give me the opportunity to explain the reason for my cancelation or to rebook. I would rate her a zero if I could... so ANGRY AND NASTY PERSONALITY! If she is like this with humans I don't want to imagine how would she treat my babies who cannot speak back or defend themselves.

They really abuse the dogs there. My dog is still getting over his trauma and it's been over a year since he's been there. I thought that maybe it was normal for dogs to dislike going to the groomers but this is the only place he has been so afraid to go .. to the point of panicking and wetting himself.

We've taken our Westie Tobi to a few places and no one does a better job than Grooming with Finesse! We like more of a puppy" style cut vs the traditional Westie cut and they always know exactly what to do. Tobi's a bit of a nervous pup but they do so well with her and are great at keeping us updated on how she did and what was an issue. She always comes out looking great and fresh!"

Amazing , professional , high end , friendly staff , perfect place for me and most importantly my pup ! Love to play with the other dogs !!! Thank you Becky , you are what I have always hoped for in a groomer .

I have been using this shop for 4years. My dog is Cherry very small and needs careful care and this shop is the best for her for 4 years. My dog had hair treatment here again today. I'm so satisfied

Took our cockapoo here for his latest haircut, and it’s by far the best experience we’ve had with any groomer! Amazing work and the customer service was genuine and caring. Definitely recommend taking your dog here! 10/10

We took our 5 month cockapoo waffles here after having a very bad experience at another groomer. We were nervous after how poorly his last experience went but this place totally changed our perspective. The staff was polite and positive and made waffles feel extremely welcome and comfortable. They actually took the time to ask us our preference of grooming style, length, ect. You can tell they took their time and took care while cutting his fur. He looks great, smells great and seemed very happy and calm when we picked him up. Could not recommend this place enough to anyone looking for somewhere to take your puppy or dog!

Always great results. Been a few times now since we moved to Waterloo and have never been unhappy with the results or service. Our little guy seems to like having the freedom to interact with some of the other dogs before and after his cut. I like that the grooming area is fully visible from the street as well through a big window as it makes everything brighter and more open. Prices are in line with other quality groomers in the area.

I booked an appointment with Finesse after asking my neighbour who their dog groomer was. They clearly do beautiful work. So I booked blindly and was excited to take my dog in.And then tonight I had an inkling to look a little further into the groomer. I googled her name, and found images of her hailing Hitler beside a wax model of Hitler. That was enough to make my stomach turn. And then I read all of the 1-star reviews from customers (eek), some of which seemed lawsuit worthy. The owner did not respond to them in their own personal account of the reviews or in the google review system, though the owner did manage to give herself a 5-star rating in the same system.I cancelled my appointment immediately after gathering enough evidence to keep my dog far, far away. Not worth it to me.

My Norfolk terrier needs a special kind of grooming called stripping, which Becky from Grooming with Finesse offers. It was 8 month old Benny's first stripping, and he had a lot of hair. When I took him home that Friday afternoon, he looked fine, but he was coughing. He coughed and hacked all weekend, did not eat well and didn't want to walk. I was so worried about him I decided to take him to the vet's first thing Monday morning. Before that happened, he coughed up a huge cylindrical hairball, mostly of black hair. As you can see, he is not black. I called Becky and left a message asking her to call me. She did not, two days running. The 3rd day she answered herself, and told me, yes, Benny ate a lot of hair while she was grooming him, and probably ate more in the play area afterwards. She did not say she was sorry he had been sick and I had been worried. She did not say she would try to keep the area cleaner, or try harder to make sure dogs did not eat hair. Becky wins awards for her grooming, but I will never, ever, take my little Benny there again. Since then he has been groomed by somebody just as competent, but who puts the dog's safety first.
