Crooked Creek Golf Course

When I saw the low rating I really lowered my expectations. $34 for 18 holes is a reasonable rate.Once on the course, it was better than other courses with higher ratings. Yes it was wet but it's also March. I expected it to be wet. The owner chatted with us between 9th and 10th and was really pleasant.

Gave it a shot and unfortunately was disappointed with it the layout is ok. But losing balls on the first rough cut isn't acceptable. Some tee boxes out of service and no signage explaining why. Also not yard markers . Was ok for the $$$ but to many better options in the area for same price

Course used to be so well maintained and fun to play under old ownership. The new owners have let the course fall into disrepair , the fairway and tee box conditions are very poor , looking mostly like cow pasture and tick infested hay field .The attitude from the staff is also quite poor on check in as very unprofessional with the pro shop not even being open and cash being exchanged hand to hand out sideIf the course every gets into better condition I may consider trying it again but for now this course will go on the list of do not plays for me .

This place has so much potential. It could be a decent course.The lack of care and maintenance made it a very poor experience for my group. There was so many piles of cut grass on the fringe and on the green, really it was all over the course. The tee blocks were non-existent on many holes. The greens were badly damaged as well.The attitude of the owner needs to change. When I called to book a tee time, he said he was too busy and to do it online. It says directly on the website to call if you would like a tee time. Also, there are no washrooms available in the club house, but they are allowed to sell you beer. Service was great and the course was in good condition. Shout out to the owner Gord for a great time.

The owner was cordial and the course was as expected for early Apr but frankly charging full rate to play there in these conditions was ridiculous.

Just played here yesterday. 18$ for nine holes on the worst maintained golf course I have ever seen. Unbelievable. This guy shouldn't be in business. Advertises breakfast and stuff too, but there's nobody that works here! Nobody to take green fees, nobody to cook, and nobody to cut the grass. This course was once nice, but no longer. It would take years to get it back in shape and that's not happening now. Much better courses in the area for less money.*edit, since the owner decided to reply three years later*I paid you, because whenever you weren't around minding the store we would always pay afterwards. If you want to call me a trespasser I think that is a lie. Put up a closed sign if you don't want people playing on your course. I tried to give you my business on several occasions. But I have never been back and clearly never will go back.

Best thing about this course is that the greens are usually true and fast. Course is modestly long but quite flat. Rainy weather will produce some problematic wet areas, so play it in drier weather. Usually a walk on, not busy course. The back 9 is challenging on several holes. Then on the front you have a very long par 5 over water into wind hole that is a real challenge. Owner is helpful, knows golf and is pleasant.
