Do not come to this store. Horrible customer service, I was kicked out today for “wasting his time” I was browsing to see what to try on, apparently he doesn’t know how shopping works. If he doesn’t know how to run clothing store he might as well close. Horrible horrible horrible. You’re better off finding another store.

I would give zero stars if it was available! Owners were extremely unprofessional and I was told I was not allowed to handle the merchandise, as I should ask for what I want and they would get it for me. There was no shopping allowed to be done in this store. Unfortunately the old men speaking to each other about their “parts” wasn’t the first thing to turn me around and head out of this store. Upon being told I was ****ing around for looking through the store, I was then sworn at as I was leaving. Very easy to say I will not be back and they will not be taking my money. Marks was a much better experience!

Good prices and excellent selection of larger sizes … lots of work clothes

Any one from Lethbridge knows that Progress is an institution in and of itself. The selection is great, the prices mostly reasonable and the experience is something else. Things can be quirky or weird and you should probably chat with someone who has been before so you know what to expect and how to deal with the owners. They are great to deal with but you have to know how they do business. It can be a lot of fun to come in and remember how shopping downtown used to be.

What a great shop! The owner said he's been there 67 years! I prefer to shop in an independent store and this is that place! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I came in looking for a winter hat with the fold down flaps over the ears. They had a huge selection! Looking around the store they had many many items to outfit a worker. I had a nice conversation with the owner. Prices are comparable with the chain stores. I would recommend coming here first!

Crowded store with cheaply priced merchandise. Oddly, I was told my legs were too small" to fit the straight leg jeans. The staff used profanity when speaking to each other. It made the whole experience being there quite jarring and unpleasant."

They sold me boots with a size different than the box and refused to refund me. Refunded me in cash instead of back onto my card after a battle. The rumors are true, don't shop here.

will not be shopping here again. Horrible customer service. was asked “how long does it take to try on ____” while using the fitting room after 5 minutes of being inside. Lost my sale along with the business of multiple other customers they locked out after i had left the store (10-15 minutes before they were said to close). Not sure how such rude customer service is acceptable.
