Had a flower arrangement made by Emillie last week and it was sublime! She has a rare talent for creating art with each bouquet she prepares and her customer service is amazing.

Use this florist if you want to support a business that is ignorant and racist. Would give 0 stars if I could. There are so many other respectful and talented local florists.I was gifted a Lunar New Year floral arrangement on Feb. 1, a lovely gesture from my mother-in-law (MIL). Upon unwrapping it and to my horror, it was revealed that Emilie, the florist and owner, had used a bamboo stalk and chopsticks as part of the arrangement. I never thought flowers could be racist but here we are. Had Emilie included a lucky cat and a takeout container, it would have really rounded out the Asian aesthetic. Does she use plastic cutlery on non-Asian floral arrangements?I reached out to Emilie by email on Feb. 2. I was hoping to use this opportunity as a teachable moment about cultural sensitivities. However, she never responded. When I saw my MIL again on Feb. 11, I mentioned to her the initial email and the chopsticks. She was horrified and went to the florist directly. The florist indicated she had responded to my email (she had not) and gave her reasons for her artistic choices but was unapologetic. I waited until after the Valentine’s Day rush and emailed her again to follow-up, asking her to resend her initial email she apparently sent me. No response.

Work in Kanata, live in Aylmer, when I need flower, I go there. Quality is awesome, flower last much longer then any other place I went. And I can trust then for the design, they know their stuff!!!

Fantastic experience at Fleuriste Avant-Garde. I went to purchase some flowers for my wife's birthday, expecting a regular florist experience. Instead, Emilie made the bouquet in front of me, actually taking me through her garden to pick particular flowers. I ended up with a unique, beautiful bouquet which my wife loved. Very reasonably priced as well. Highly recommend going here!
