Nursing home way under staffed

You should be ashamed of yourselves.From my understanding and the information I've been told, you did not screen a new resident for covid-19 before moving them to the facility, and completely failed in keeping your residents safe by doing so. This complete Negligence on your behalf resulted in an outbreak at Heritage Lodge.I am still waiting for an update in regards to more cases and deaths caused by what you've done. It seems to me as though you were and still are keeping families in the dark. Your facility and Rivera is completely at fault for the heartbreak you have brought upon my family, and so many other families who have lost loved ones due to your negligence during this pandemic.I'd also like to mention how the resident wasn't mobile and was fed by a tube. You neglected this resident, and failed to care for her which resulted in her being dehydrated, and only escalated the situation in regards to her health... How many other elderly people living at this facility have suffered this type of neglect in you hands?Heritage lodge and Rivera, you should be so so ashamed of yourselves, and I know my family and I have many more complaints that could and will be brought to the table in regards to your complete failure in caring for and protecting my family, and other families loved ones.Rivera is a billion dollar company, who seems to care more about money than the wellbeing of their residents, who are charged ridiculous amounts of money on top of it all, just to receive poor care and neglect in return. I am disgusted by you.Take a good look at how many lawsuits the company owning your facility is facing, and I can assure you that you will be facing more, as more peoples lives are lost. With the amount of money your company has as a whole, I really do hope families get the compensation they deserve on behalf of the damages you have caused, although that'll never bring back mine or others loved ones. Shame shame shame on you... I assure you this is not the last time you will be hearing from me.

Do not send your family here. Management is corrupt and they don't care about senior's health care or well being at all. Health care aides physically and emotionally abuse seniors. Seniors have voiced their complaints and management never listened or cared about providing them the proper optimal care that they need. They are only out for your money. There are mice in the building, the janitors don't clean properly, and seniors have complained about things going missing/stolen in their own rooms, with employees and nurses not caring at all. Nurses and care aides are sometimes rough with the residents when it comes to showering, cleaning, feeding them, and as well as the way they talk to them. They have a coordinated and manipulative management team which consists of the executive director, operations manager, social worker, occupational therapist, and residential care manager that takes advantage and exploits their employees over the most miniscule things. This corrupt care home team should be heavily and thoroughly investigated into. Keep your loved ones away from this abusive and toxic environment.

If they cared as much about the residents as they do about profits (i.e., cutting corners on everything) this might be an okay place. Clearly, the intentional neglect at Heritage Lodge is a tragedy for the residents (as proven by other Google reviews). Try your best to avoid this absolutely terrible place. It is not suitable for your loved ones.

Terrible staffing.

Amazing and friendly staff, residents are fun to be around and to chat with, constant activities being done throughout the day such as bowling, physical exercise to get the residents moving.

I walked in and saw my mother in law sitting by herself in a wheelchair in her room, in depends and staring at a wall for hours and hours and hours on end we did have one worker come in to get him a banana and a fresh juice however made no attempts to help her with it. Not to mention he had not removed the old, quite stale juice sitting on her bedside that she could not possible reach. They have not provided her with an alert bracelet if she require help either. The room is hot and stuffy and when I asked if there anything we could do to help with her eyes it was ignored. I asked the charge nurse for help and immediately got an attitude. This was on the second floor. My mother in laws room was not the cleanest, her bedding was neither clean, nor was her bed tidied or made. This is not how a nursing home should be run. The care is absolutely deplorable and I will be dealing with anyone and everyone who will investigate to make the lives isthese loved ones far better. I work in healthcare, with Drs and patients and this is absolutely NOT why anyone one of us goes in that field. Our goal is to provide, dignity, respect, care and above all help!!

Don’t send anyone there, it’s very bad retirement home for senior’s and all staffs are worst.

A resident passed away for Covid-19. This resident had zero mobility, meaning they needed 2 workers to lift them. Was fed by a tube and wasn’t allowed to eat solids and somehow still came in contact with the virus. It clearly was from a worker who neglected to use the correct protocols to keep the elderly safe. They are now dead. Had to die alone when they had so much family that wanted to be there. This WAS not the first time of negligence done by a worker at this home - they also accidentally broke this residence thumb due to incorrect lifting protocol. When they had lifted this resident hundreds of times. This home took a life that wasn’t ready to go yet due to negligence. I’ll never get to say goodbye, kiss or hug this person ever all because a worker didn’t want to take that extra time to wash their hands, change their PPE when handling another resident before handling this one.
