I got 10 years of service with these guys ✌️ I have had nothing but good things to say about them. They are like a mom and pop operation. Yes the internet is not the fastest on the planet. But it was reliable and we never had an serious issues streaming Netflix.

They came out on time. Did a great job installing and setting up everything for us. Signal is excellent and speed is as good as we need it. We had 4 g mobile before so this is way better for amount of data we can use

Only choice for internet in Scandia, but way too slow. Download speeds are horrible. Wishing for a fix or improvement asap because there are no other options out hereEDIT - It's been 6 months since I left this review, and nothing has changed. Speed is still terrible or worse. It's 2020, this isn't the optimal speed for anything anymore.

We have had internet with them now for a little over a year. We took over the account from the previous tenants. The only reason I give 3 stars, and the only reason I stay with them, is because Barry goes out of his way to try to make customers happy. However the same can not be said about his rude and ignorant partner/tech guy. The internet is as slow as old outdated dial up, and is not stable enough to even stream netflix. I counted one day it went down 38 times. At 8 pm till about 3 am we don't even bother trying to use it. We too sometimes have to turn off the wifi on our phones and use our data just to load a webpage. My biggest complaint about Shockware is that our account is flagged, and the message is that our signal can not be improved, so this is a perfect scapegoat for the lazy and rude tech guy to fall back on every time I call with a problem. He is not even willing to send someone out to reevaluate the situation. He claims there has been someone sent out, but no one has come to our door, and the lack of barking from our dog indicates no one has even come to the property. I let the tech guy know that the wiring to the radio is frayed, but apparently that is not a concern either. He also told my husband and I that if we were not happy with their service to go elsewhere" That is not good customer service. Yes this internet service is cheaper than most other rural internet

We've been with Shockware for several years and are high useage customers. We live very remotely as well (4 miles from anywhere). Up until about six months ago, the service was okay. It's slow and during storms or winter cold periods it can suddenly disappear, but it was usually back up as quickly as any other provider in the area. About six months ago we were told we would have to pay $10 more each month because of our useage. Up until then they were okay with however much we used, but we were okay with the increase. However since that time, the internet has really gone downhill. It's absolutely horrible. It will be off for hours and sometimes a full day, at a time. We are never emailed to say sorry". We are not told if there's going to be serviceing. We just suddenly don't have internet. And calling them is impossible

I have used Shockware for years now. Yes on occasion when a storm would roll in the internet might not work. Yet the service men were kind and knowledgeable. The service representatives were helpful and eager to get our problems solved no matter what they were. The speed, I rarely had a problem with it. I worked from home for a time and I never had problems with the speed of the internet. When watching a movie it always came through quickly and never was interrupted by loading time in the middle of the movie like some tend to do. Dax and his team bent over backwards to help and I so appreciate their support and hard work in helping me in every way they could. I would recommend them on their people skill alone but having the internet service way out here in the boonies has been a blessing.

BAD INTERNET AND SCAMS! Used to be with this provider for years and years always with very slow speeds and touchy connectivity. When Covid shut things down the company deliberately turned everyone's internet off and claimed that they had been going over their data plan for years and years. Terrible scamming company with the worst customer support ever. Even for the price I would avoid at all costs this is a scummy company!

Service is great. Techs that really want you to have the best connection possible.The speeds are pretty typical for rural internet, stream 1080p without too much difficulty but it ain't no T1 line.

During this time of extreme internet usage (due to the Covid-19 crisis) our internet service has remained excellent.I've been a rural internet user for many years and I've found that, overall, Shockware.com is a reliable service with good tech/customer support.

Internet speed was generally good until recently; around 4:00p.m. or so the internet goes out for a couple minutes, then comes back and then gradually becomes extremely slow; can barely watch any livestreams without lots of lag making them practically unwatchable. Then around 10:30p.m.-12:00a.m. it goes out completely and I have NO idea why!! Website tells me NOTHING about this and they never email us! The only way we can know is if we phone them which I feel may become a burden if we have to constantly phone them when this happens. Because of this I can no longer watch livestreams after 7, which is bad because one person streams around 8 to 11 whom I payed a subscription to them and got access to their discord server! If I can no longer watch them I'll have to cancel my subscription and access to the discord server will be revoked!! This has been happening for about a week and a half, but unfortunately I believe we don't have any other choice as we live in a rural farm area in Southern Alberta.
