Little Start Child Care (Bryne Dr.)

From the staff communication to the care received by my child I can’t express how amazing this facility has been. We (unfortunately) have lots of experience with other daycares before we started here and the difference is outstanding. Our little one waved a tear-free goodbye to us every morning at drop off from Day 1. Thank you for doing what you do and offering options for commuting/shift-working parents.

Cheryl and her team of daycare teachers are all amazing. They’re all very caring and amazing with the kids. Cheryl is quick to respond to any questions, concerns or last minute schedule changes. Definitely recommend LittleStart, especially if you’re on a changing schedule or shift work.

This place is a rip off. My daughter joined back in December and since then we haven’t had a good experience. We were in so many wait lists for other daycares while attending this one, but from the beginning I was told by the staff that the would be joining the CWELCC program so I rejected another daycare for this reason. Last week in May we were told that they’re not joining this program. We had so many issues regarding the care of my daughter. One time she fell while playing and we understand accidents happen. Another time ny daughter had a severe rash in her bum that it was so bad I couldn’t change her diaper. I kindly asked them to be careful not to leave her with a dirty diaper for too long, and the supervisor Cindy said my daughter was changed right after her nap (so then why did she get a rash that bad?). Another time they let the kids play with snow inside the classroom without the snowsuits so my daughter had fever for almost 4 days and we couldn’t bring her to daycare. And the last one was she had another accident which caused my daughter to have a black eye, they said she tripped over with her own feet and hit a bench near the eye. They never showed me the footage claiming it’s against the law and there are kids under custody but what about my kid? They always lost my daughter’s clothes. They make up new rules every week and that’s why I stopped bringing my daughter in because she would come every day at 6:45-6:50am and last Tuesday she was rejected by Cindy because her schedule was at 7am. This place lacks professionalism and they have a poor management, they never apologized for anything. They only care about money. They claim ti be 24-7 but they’re closed on long weekends or every other weekend.

My twin boys have been attending Little Starts for about 2 years now. Initially they attended the daycare on a casual basis, allowing myself and my husband some much needed respite. Over the last year I returned to work full-time and they have been attending the daycare on regular basis. I am an RN, whom like many others, work shift work. I actually don't know if I would've been able to return to work full-time if it wasn't for Little Starts. Their extended and flexible hours are ideal for shift workers, allowing me to schedule my boys in online based on my fluctuating schedule well in advance.Furthermore, they have been phenomenal when it has come to my children's severe allergies and asthma. They are very diligent with ensuring the epi-pens are not expired, calling me a few weeks before to allow me to get new ones. I even got a call a few weeks back to let me know one of their ventolin puffers was feeling light and that it may need to be replaced soon. They also make all the food there, healthy and guaranteed nut/allergen free, which is a huge piece of mind.If that's not enough, there is the plain fact that my boys love it. Most days now I'm lucky if I get a hug goodbye because they are just so excited to get in there. When I drop them off at 6am there is already educational activities and crafts out on the table and the boys just dive right in. The other day was a rare occasion where I got to pick them up and I saw both boys running around with 4 or 5 other kids laughing and interacting and genuinely enjoying themselves. The staff are lovely and the boys are always happy to see them. I feel like you can't ask for much more when looking for childcare.

We love Little Start! Friendly, helpful staff who take care of our kids like their own. The kids love playing there (and eating the chefs delicious food) and we love hearing all about it from the online daily reports. So happy to have found this place!!!

Cheryl has been nothing short of amazing. My son does not go here yet but the communication is almost immediate. She has been bending over backwards trying to accommodate my constantly changing nursing schedule. I’m excited for my son to start hopefully in the near future. :)

All care providers are friendly and welcoming. Great communication throughout the day. My son enjoys going and I have peice of mind knowing they are regulated more thoroughly, compared to a home daycare. I will not bring my children anywhere else.

Little Start is an amazing daycare! Both our children go there and have an amazing time. The staff and environment are second to none. Would recommend this daycare to all my friends and family and will continue to do so.

My son started at Little Start when he was 11 months old. For the first year and a half, I was pleased. There are a few good staff left that I do think the world of. The staff did a great job and took good care. However, it has gone so downhill that I switched to M-F days and I pulled him out of the daycare. They use temporary staff often, that don't speak proper english or know the children's names. The support in potty training was a nightmare. The owner has given me attitude when I addressed certain concerns in the past. I can't tell you how many of the staff have told me it's awful without proper support and they either have left or are looking for new jobs. Not exactly the reassurance you want to hear as a parent. Since leaving, I have run into some of the staff that used to work there and the words out of their mouth specifically, thank goodness you took your son out of there." The quality of care is outstanding. My child is in the infant room. Our little one is learning so much. She is 17 months old and is teaching us sign language! A special thank you to Brittany and Connie.The daycare uses the Hi Mama app. I love the hourly updates and pictures we receive while at work. I feel good at work knowing my toddler learning so much at daycare.
