Have frequented this place for years . They are always upgrading to stay competitive and the staff is always helpful and polite. A good local hardware and lumber store.

Terrible store and terrible policies. If Gibson's Building Supply and Home Hardware were open on Sunday, I would never go here.GBS pricing on lumber is much more fair and they don't charge you $2 a cut to fit it in your car!Go online and change your store to one in Vancouver and then back to Sechelt and you will see the prices for EVERY item are at least 20% higher.Save your money. Shop elsewhere. Home Hardware and GBS offer much better service.Edit to update: I did email. No reply. Home Depot is also offering free shipping to the coast now so there is little reason to shop at Rona. Both Home Depot and Rona are American so I try to support GBS, Home Hardware, or Canadian Tire instead when I can.

summer of 2021 bought a Midea combination AC,and dehumidifier. Worked well last summer. This year it kaput. Talked to customer sevice a Midea and got nowhere although it's still warranty. Talked to manager at Rona, said he's check into the matter. That was one month go. Have never hear a word!! One would think if they sell their products they could contact the manufacturer and go to bat for their customer, but no such thing. will never set foot in that store again!!

I went into this Rona to get some supplies for a small project and the staff were super helpful. Without me even asking for help, Vince approached to offer assistance and guided me around the store to find exactly what I needed. Super impressed with the customer service!

Have been dealing with them for about 5 years since I started spending more time up on the coast. From contractor sales, the inside staff, the yard guys and the delivery drivers they are all great. The guys in yard are super, always ready to lend a hand and load you up. Recently has a small mix up on an order and it was resolved immediately with new stock delivered about an hour later. You can't ask for better service. My go to yard on the Coast!

BEWARE. Pricing is highly questionable and seems that price gouging is taking place. Sold me a 2x4x8 spruce for over $12 per piece and listed at $8.65 on their website. If you don't believe me - start comparing online prices with your receipts. Fairness? What kind of business does that??? Consumer and Corporate Affairs??? Be sure to go elsewhere.

The paint expert tried to be helpful but couldn't find the swatches so I could pick a color. The product I did purchase I was overcharged for, had to return it to get charged the proper price. I'll go elsewhere.

Being new to the Coast, the first time I went to Rona, daughter and pup in tow I was a bit overwhelmed. I wasn’t even quite sure what I needed, but John Minelli was there to help out and in short order my cart was overflowing with everything I needed and more! John made what could have been absolute chaos into a very pleasant experience. On a subsequent trip I went to pick up a couple of pieces of plywood that I had cut and to my dismay I couldn’t fit the larger piece in my car. Although John had already left for the day, I was fortunate to have his business card and thought he may have a creative solution to my dilemma so I gave him a call. I was overjoyed when John offered to deliver the plywood and my dilemma was solved! I can’t say enough about John and Rona and will certainly make it my ‘go to’ store in the future!
