Spring Garden Terrace

Worst manager and leasing agent ever! No one takes their responsibilities or even reply your message or answer your call! The only way to talk to them is through the head office while sometimes the head office cannot even contact them. BTW, don't trust the rental info on their website because they also don't even update it! I doubt very much they don't actually know about the availability, they promise you a view and no show to you when he supposed to be at the appointment, when you finally managed to contact him, they will tell you there is never available apartment. Yes, I'm talking about J. Luke and Paul.

The search for my first apartment has been a positive experience with Killam Properties. Hayley Donovan was amazing to work with and she provided excellent customer service. Spring Garden Terrace has a community feeling when you walk into the lobby. The building is kept nice and clean. The location is ideal for a walking lifestyle to amenities and bus stops. Being close to the Halifax Public Gardens is wonderful. I am looking forward to making the move.

I moved into Spring Garden Terrace 2 months ago and this has been my first experience having my own apartment. The leasing agent (Haley I believe her name was) was prompt in booking my viewing and was able to answer any questions I had about the building or leasing (generally speaking with it being my first time). I have placed one maintenance request so far which was responded to by Martin within an hour. Excellent! I think the pricing is fair for the neighbour hood, (I pay 1100+ utilities for a studio) units and the building itself are nicely updated. I have not come across pests of any kind here which is a reassurance living downtown for the first time. Garbage disposal is simple and common areas are kept immaculate. Pool and outdoor green areas are a nice touch. I rate this building as 4 rather than 5 stars as if you work late hours such as myself, it may be a drawback. Construction noise can begin from 9am and as someone who works until sometimes after midnight this can be a minor disturbance. Additionally, I occasionally catch a whif in my hallway because a lady across the hall can’t seem to take her cigarettes outside. These 2 minor annoyances aside, I find SGT all in all a very desirable place to live. (EDIT having lived here for 6 months: take into consideration that there are a few unfriendly tenants in this building who WILL get upset with you for having music on at 9:30pm on a SATURDAY night

Haley was lovely but BEWARE!!! I have never lived in poorer conditions. Constant construction and when you inquire they say, it should only be one more week." It has been 17 months!!!! It's VERY loud and extremely dusty. There are rodents

stay away, the building is great but the management is horrible I had a parking issue and the the management told me it's not his problem, however there was a girl in front of me and she had the same problem and he fixed it for her. but for me cuz I am a man he told me that it's not his problem. worst place I have ever stayed in.

I moved a little while ago, I had a plumbing problem in the bathroom, spending several days without a bathroom.Now I have a problem with mouse, I called and no one came to help. I had to try to put traps myself, after two weeks the mouse came back, I had to call a friend to help me. And we discovered several hidden mousetraps.Building has a machine that makes a lot of noise all day.

I will be shifting to spring garden terrace from 1st Sept'19. The team at the appartment including Jack and Paul are very helpful and ready to guide you about renting the place. Its just been a week for me and wife since we both shifted to Halifax, since we are new, we were informed in detail the process of leasing. Kudos to the team.

Really convenient location, right on Spring Garden Road. Amenities and facilities were well kept and were fixed/ repaired by the management team fairly quickly. Kudos to the team and Paul, one of their management, who is friendly, efficient and provides excellent service. He goes above and beyond and was always a great help throughout my stay.T'was a good 2 years on SGT. :)

First thing, their website’s viewing appointment booking means nothing to the rental office, so make sure you call and arrange it with the agent properly.If the agent isn’t in the rental office, their team will be rude (yeah bald rolex guy I am talking about you, it’s a shame that you get paid) and try to scare you off so they have less work, so stand your ground if they start to speak loudly. Just my experience tho, yours could be different.Price increases is intense, in last year July-August (student coming) a Bachelor apartment was ~$800ish, now it’s ~1250-1300. Last yeah they said they have in suite wasker/dryer, now it’s in building.

If you have a car and want a stable parking or living situation. I would say that avoid this place at all costs! The manager will make your life miserable no matter how small of an issue you have !
