Co-operative dojo run by its members and doing so since 1980. You will get a variety of instructors and there are early morning and evening classes. You can attend as many classes as you like with the membership fee. Minimal grading costs. Highest ranked Aikido instructors in the region. Try a week of classes for free.

I've been coming here for nearly 4 years now, and it's always been very fun, as there's never any end to what u can learn about martial arts and about yourself. The teachers are friendly and they do it out of kindness and devotion since they aren't paid. I'm personally doing kenjutsu but aikido also seems interesting and if you're a student, 80$ a month can give you as many classes as you want.

Great instructors and students. Everyone is very welcoming and helpful, and the dojo is a lot nicer on the inside than the outside. It also has a great selection of martial arts that all interconnect. You really should try all of them at least once.

Excellent and well-maintained dojo, both in its logistics and esprit de corps. I’ve never been particularly interested in martial arts, but I decided to try out kenjutsu on a whim a few years ago and have not looked back ever since! You will be welcomed regardless of your experience and the people here are definitely a big part of the reason I have stuck around for so long.

I joined Ottawa Aikikai after training martial arts for many years at other dojo. I found the Ottawa Aikikai teachers very knowledgeable and interested in the development of all the members, and the dojo has a very supportive and encouraging environment. As well, Ottawa Aikikai offers classes in Jujutsu and Kenjutsu!Ottawa Aikikai is a wonderful dojo and I recommend that anyone interested in martial arts should try out the classes they offer!

Information is not up to date on there facebook page. Looks like the club is run by a bunch of volunteers. I had to update there address and phone number so that it was up to date...... Really unorganized. That is what happens when the teacher's aren't paid. Also maybe they don't really care to muchabout the club? It doesn't look like the dojo is doing so well when things are not organized. I can only imagine what happens when the volunteers track your fee schedule. May end up paying twice just because no one is keeping record. I visited the dojo for fun and saw people doing rolls between large support beams. The place is full if them. It is very dangerous. Especially when you have a large class. Someone is going to get hurt and badly. Probably why they have you sign a waiver form on the way in.....

A fantastic dojo that offers a variety of martial arts all under one roof. The space has been designed with the intention of providing the best training possible. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and so welcoming to new and old students alike.

I didn't really like it. I found that students had an ego and they brought in on the mat. I was thrown very hard quite a few times and my head slammed into the mat hard. I find that what I know about Aikido and the philosophy, this club doesn't follow the art of peace. Very aggressive in their application of technique with disregard for the person whom is attacking. For a first timer it was rough and painful to say the least. Not going back.

The building's exterior belies how nice this dojo is. There seems to be a lot of senior ranked students, the instructors know what they are doing, and everyone was welcoming and helpful.
