Just a delight stopping in here on a big trip; after countless roadside burgers, this delicious Mexican food was such a welcome surprise! The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and offered a lot of great advice on what to check out in the area. Also the additional cool surprise of the toaster museum! The amount of cool antiques to peruse could keep you there all day. Would come back here in a heartbeat the next time we’re in the area

Ate here two of the four nights we were camping nearby AND got a quesadilla kit to take with us. Never would have imagined a Mexican restaurant this good in an out of the way place like Stewart. The collection of old toasters and other paraphernalia was also very fun. A must stop if you are in town!

What an interesting place and the food is great. The owner has the world's largest collection of toasters. Also many other amazing early appliances. Restaurant is decorated with these antiques. The breakfast special today was the Pacific and consisted of English muffin topped with Florentine sauce, smoked salmon and fried egg. Amazing. Fried potatoes on the side. We also tried the two egg breakfast with homemade sausage, potatoes and toast. Sausage was to die for. Toast was served with homemade strawberry preserves. This establishment is also a bakery, and we walked away with an Eccles cake and piece of blueberry coffeecake.

This place also offers Latin food. We had an excellent meal. The tuna tartare was incredible - one of the tastiest seafood dishes I have ever had. The rest of the menu was very good. It is a little pricey but worth the cost. The food is great. The service and the atmosphere are wonderful.

If you can manage to get in for dinner (reserve ny phone at least a couple of days in advance), you’re in for a treat. There is a chef from Mexico that is currently managing the dinner service and what we had was incredible, definitely on par with Mexican cuisine from a major city like Edmonton, Calgary or Vancouver. The baja fish tacos I had were some of the best I’ve ever tried, which I never expected to get in Stewart (especially since there’s only really two restaurants in town). The resident chickens are very cute!

Alejandro and his staff provide an amazing dining experience. The food is some of the best Latin food I’ve had ever. Ask for the spicy sauces if you like heat. We had the pulled pork burrito and variety of tacos as recommended by Alejandro. Make sure to make a reservation as it gets busy. Mainly only open 1 PM - 10 PM.

Really loved the vibe here... the antique toasters, the chickens, the decor! It was booked up for dinner but I grabbed a seat by the window bar which was perfect. The food was delicious, too.

What a pleasant surprise. After an eight hour drive we were recommended to try this place and it was fabulous! We had the mahi dinner and Baja shrimp tacos. Everything was delicious. My wife who is picky about her cocktails loved her margarita as well. New owner and new chef. Definitely dine here is you are coming to Stewart.

Toastworks is now the home of an authentic Mexican restaurant called El Tostador! The Mahi Mahi tacos are incredible, a personal favorite. Tacos, quesadillas, house made salsa and tortillas! Their menu is incredible! They were here in 2022 and they're back again. Be sure to make a reservation if you want to go, they have a small space and book fast!

Wish I could leave a zero star rating. It was recommended by a local but that local was probably friends with the owner and knew how badly this place is failing. We were there ten minutes before the server even talked to us the first and only time. We got one cup of coffee and a very poor cup of tea in 45 minutes. We'd ordered a salad and a quesadilla, neither of which we received before we gave up. We paid for our beverages and left. It was atrocious! Charming toaster and antiques displays so I guess it does deserve one star after all.
