Westside Montessori School

Everyone in our family is beyond excited about the Westside Montessori Elementary school, Cambie Street. My daughter currently attends Kindergarten at WMS, Oak Street. The three year cycle is an exceptional program with phenomenal teachers and I count my blessings everyday that my daughter is a part of such an incredible, loving and supportive environment. It’s been a tremendous third year so far and my daughter continues to thrive, making WMS Elementary an obvious choice for first grade. I couldn’t image her anywhere else. I had the opportunity to visit the new space and it’s really something special. It’s a must see!! Simply beautiful!

This bright, large and welcoming classroom is the most beautiful and well equipped classroom that I have ever seen. Every inch of the room has been carefully curated to allow a variety of educational experiences based on the abilities of each child. The students pour into the classroom with smiles on their faces ready for each new day!

My wife and I are excited at the opening of this Elementary program. We are huge fans of WMS on Oak Street and this is the perfect continuum. The emphasis of the authentic 3-year Montessori systems suits children’s development. It gives them the best opportunity to find their way during their early years. They go from being the young ones in a class to eventually leading. It sets them up for life is a safe, nurturing environment that also challenges them to bring forth their best. All WMS teachers are genuine, nurturing professionals. Each one brings unique talents into the classroom. These are a group of ladies who are dedicated educators who love their jobs. We are lucky to be a part of the WMS community and can’t wait to continue on with the elementary program.

Wow! This is a STUNNING elementary school. My nephew graduated from the WMS on Oak St. and is now in Grade One at the Elementary program. I got to take a look when I came to pick him up one day. The teacher let me in and my nephew showed me around for a bit. The shelves are filled with such beautiful and inviting materials. The classroom is spacious and colourful. It is quite unique and magical. There were also a few pets that he was really excited to take care of. He seems so happy to go to school and he loves his teachers and friends that he has made.

Such a wonderful classroom with staff that is carefully picked and love what they do! The environment in the classroom is wonderful and bright with plenty of natural elements to it. The classroom is carefully decorated and children have the utmost care and success with this thriving space. Highly recommend for you to see for yourself!

I’ll begin by saying how excited I am that WMS opened this central location for their Elementary School. My younger son is at Westside and LOVES it. He has been waiting to attend since he would bring his older brother to school every afternoon. Now it’s his turn.My older son has been in French Immersion for a year and a bit. I though that is what we wanted and that he would be challenged. It’s not. After Westside, everything pales in comparison. I am going to transfer him to this school as soon as I can figure out the logistics. He has lost the spark for learning that he had from Montessori and I need to see that back in him.I visited the new location and felt right at home. It has the same care and attention as the Oak Street classrooms. It feels right. A dream space.I highly recommend everything Westside Montessori School. My family are big fans!

My wife and I could not be more thrilled to welcome the Elementary location of Westside Montessori to the Cambie neighbourhood. Both our girls attended preschool and Kindergarten at Westside Montessori on Oak Street and we can't wait until it's time for our son to attend when he turns 3. The addition of an Elementary program is honestly a dream come true for us. We toured many Montessori schools in the Lower Mainland looking for the right school and are thankful every day that we found WMS. The love and care the staff provided for our children as well as the educational program was top notch and something we have not seen even close to being matched anywhere else. We look forward to being part of this amazing community for years to come.

I am excited that Westside Montessori School continues on into elementary. I am all about a quality program in a smaller school setting. I want my child to be seen and cared for by people I can get to know instead of strangers. My son is currently in the Casa program. The other parents and I are thrilled to have the elementary program to continue the incredible education our children are currently receiving.

Westside Montessori Elementary is a beautiful school with caring and passionate teachers. The classroom is stunning with lots of colour and natural light. The lovingly curated materials are thoughtfully displayed throughout the classroom and the cozy reading nook/loft adds a really special feature to the room.My daughter is in her third year at Westside Montessori Elementary and she still runs to the door in the mornings and leaves school everyday with a smile on her face.We love this school and highly recommend it!
