I was hesitant to go here today based on some of the scathing reviews but I must say, today, there were absolutely no problems. The staff were efficient but not rude, the walk-in wait time was very reasonable and the staff were very kind and caring with my young child who was getting blood drawn today. It is worth mentioning our visit was during the afternoon rather than the morning so there’s a chance that helped us have a better experience? So relieved it was smooth sailing.

Today, I walked in/got in line at 6:00 am (the door opened at 6:30 am). There were many people (walk ins and by appointment), but the staff was polite and did their best to serve everyone fast. My blood sample was taken in a professional manner. As for the urine test, the washroom was very clean. I walked out of the clinic at 7:55 am. I was very surprised (because I was a little hesitant to go after reading negative reviews) and satisfied. Next time, I will walk in early so that I can leave early. If you have an appointment, you need to go inside as there are two separate lines. The line outside of the clinic mainly consists of walk in patients.

This is the worst place I’ve ever been. There’s over 100 people waiting and the wait times are insanely long. The fact that I’m acc writing a review should show how much of a terrible experience this was. And good luck if u want an appointment cause you won’t get it until 2 months out. Alberta definitely failing in healthcare, private and public.

After the horrible reviews I was expecting the worst but I was pleasantly surprised when I was in and out in 20 minutes. I made an early morning appointment several weeks ago.3 stars because the people who did not make an appointment look like they'll be standing in line a very long time and there must be a better way. The staff I dealt with were very nice.

If you want to quickly ascertain why privatization of public services is a bad idea, come to this lab. 6 hour wait for walk in, appointments available in 8-12 weeks, miserable front desk staff that are checked out and abused by assaultive patients. I guess you can't blame anyone but the people in power, for creating this mess.

The staff who draw blood are competent and friendly. The front desk staff are a little burnt out. But the wait times are crazy. Clearly this organization knows that we have no other option.

FYI: There is a separate line for appointments. I was in the walk in line for 15 minutes (the lady in front of me said it was just the one line and when I looked at the reviews so did another review) before another lady with an appointment asked the front desk and clarified that there is a second line (thank you to her for double checking!). Once I was in the right line, I was checked in and waited only a few minutes for a room and the nurse. I overheard the walk in wait was over 4 hours so definitely worth making an appointment if you can.

There appears to be no point in booking an appointment. I arrived 5 minutes before my long-booked appointment, and had to wait for 30 minutes in the single line with all the walk-ins. They used to (6 months ago) have three separate lines for appointments, walk-ins and drop offs, with a person directing traffic and answering questions, but here we are with the efficiency of privatization. To be fair, it was only about 5 minutes once I finally got to the desk, and the tech was good.

I would like to give a praise to Jessica Xiao in Beddington location. My mom, who cannot speak English, was straggling on how to communicate with the nurse when she was waiting to be called. Thanks for Jessica Xiao, she understood the situation and volunteered to do the test for her, even thought they never met. She said she wanted to make an old lady feel comfortable and relaxing when she hear someone can talk to her in her mother language. That is very impressive and touched. This is the golden customer service and we are glad that it is provided by the public services. Her service and thoughtfulness deserve recognition and praise. Thank you.

*MUST READ*Worst phlebotomist you can ever encounter.Went to get my blood drawn the other day. The phlebotomist called my name and snatched my referral paper without saying a word. I was confused, so I stood there. She yelled at me saying “come here!”. It was simply rude but I thought she was just going through a bad day, so I tried to think positively.I followed her in to the room. She inputted some information into the system in her computer. She then said “right arm” without asking me which arm I wanted my blood drawn from (which is what normal healthcare workers do). I said “left arm please” as my right hand is my dominant hand. But, she raised her voice and yelled “no right arm”. I was so confused and drawn aback from her behavior. However, I didn’t give in. I looked at her in the eyes and politely repeated myself. She gave up and said okay with a frown. What happened next was even more shocking - without even sanitizing her hands or my arm with alcohol, she grabbed the needle and stuck it in to my right arm. I was watching the entire process so I am certain that she didn’t swipe my arm with alcohol. I have gotten my blood drawn regularly at various labs, and this simply was the worst experience I had at a blood sampling lab.Her rude and disrespectful attitude was something I would have not have written a review about, but her unsanitary practice made me write a review to let other patients be aware.I do not remember her name, but to describe the lady, she was a white female perhaps in her late thirties or early 40’s. She was not entirely fluent in English and had a bit of an accent.Avoid this location if you don’t want to get some kind of infection.
