Alliance BJJ Calgary

I am a newbie to BJJ (just finishing my first month) and I can't imagine training in any other school. I was extremely nervous on my first day but Professor Faron was incredibly welcoming. The school has a very welcoming, fun and respectful atmosphere/vibe and this is very important to me. Training partners are patient and helpful. I feel like I already made some great friends. There are different levels of classes starting with fundamentals to advanced. All classes are personally taught by Professor Faron. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alliance BJJ Calgary.

My son (he's 11, and I'm 43) and I have been training at Alliance BJJ Calgary for four months now, and we both love it. The level of instruction is amazing. If you want to learn high level BJJ, this is the place in Calgary. Faron is extremely knowledgeable, and has created a very healthy, welcoming and safe environment in which to study Jiu Jitsu. The other students at Alliance are great as well, with a real team feel. We are extremely happy we found Alliance BJJ Calgary, and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Alliance in South Calgary is an excellent school to learn BJJ. Their curriculum and detailed instruction allows you to build a strong foundation in fundamental movements that’ll carry you through from white to black belt without feeling overwhelmed. I would recommend anyone wanting to try BJJ to stop by Alliance.

Coach Kennet is the absolute best! What an incredibly amazing person.

My son was having behaviour problems in school. Not listening, not paying attention etc. I was getting many daily emails from his teachers regarding his behaviour, even the gym teacher! We tried many different approaches to behaviour management, nothing seemed to work. We enrolled him at alliance BJJ and after a few months his behaviour changed drastically! He is now able to focus and has much better impulse control. It was just the outlet he needed! Thank you Alliance BJJ!!! A HUGE shout out to coach Kennet who is PHENOMENAL with kids and has made a significant impact on our son.

I have been going to Alliance BJJ in Calgary for a few months now and can't say enough good things about this gym and the great people that operate it. Amazing experience for people of all experience levels.I have also been to two classes now since re-opening following the provincial governments safety protocols for Covid-19. My profession is in occupational health and safety and what Faron and company are doing to ensure everyone's comfort and most of all safety is top notch. Extra cleaning procedures and extra diligence payed to physical distancing measures has made everyone feel safe while getting first class instruction of BJJ. Again, can't say enough good things about this place!

My boys 11 and 8 started attending Alliance BJJ Calgary a month ago and we've had nothing but a great experience. They were able to accommodate us immediately for the free intro class and since then the boys have enjoyed every session.Faron and his team of instructors are very welcoming and made it really easy for the kids to feel comfortable and involved.They really look forward to attending class and my 11 year old says he enjoys it much more then Taekwondo.

Kennet was great, he put me to sleep in seconds before we even got to the mats. Highly recommend!

Alliance BJJ is my home. I have trained at almost every gym in Calgary and dropped into a few in BC whether it be only a few weeks or upwards of a year. A lot of gyms are ok and a few are even good however none have exceeded my expectations like alliance BJJ Calgary has. When First walked into the school I was about a year into training Jiujitsu and slowly losing interest I was even at a point where I thought I just wasn't cut out for jiujitsu. I swung by alliance for what I thought would just be a one time thing" due to a really bad traffic jam prohibiting me from getting to my usual gym. I walked in the doors and was greeted by professor and a couple of his purple belts that were in the middle of a training session. They stopped what they were doing and took me through the first class
