ICBC Driver Licensing

Went here for my class 5 road test. Easy and convenient check-in, if you have an appointment. The examiner Harman was fantastic, gave clear instructions well ahead, friendly and made sure I did my best without being nervous. Even after the test was done, she helped me with another health card related issue along with her genuine advice on what to do.

Could be just a black sheep in a bunch as I don't think it is fair for me to judge this branch overall performance over 1 employee's action, but my examiner was super unprofessional with his tone and comments. Also, why would you wear your sunglasses to exam how people drive and behave on the road? My car was already dark enough with a super dim dash. Anyway, I don't even know his name or anything as there were no introduction or anything like that before the exam. I'm like... do you even work here? If that's the case, perhaps I should do the same and trick other testers into taking me for a joy ride.

I did my exam (class 5) 2 days ago and i failed for no reason !!!!! It was Saturday morning, the roads were extremely empty, no traffic jam at all. The instructor failed me because in a park zone my speed was 30 and when the zone ended my speed was 40 not 50!!!! Another reason was when i was nearby a pedestrian crossing i was slowing down coz sometimes a child can run so quickly and he complained that i was slowing down !!!!!!! Also although in the comments he wrote i have very good shoulder check, He failed me claiming that i didn’t do shoulder check in an intersection (opposing his comment that he wrote by himself) i found it completely unfair to fail the exam

Do not book your road test in this location, everyone in surrey warned me, because they failed everyone even if you drive well, but i ignored everyone and booked my class 7 road test here . they failed me 3 times. without even my mistakes, just said that you are not ready yet.

I gave my class 5 road test here and passed in first attempt. I was really scared by reading the reviews of instructors at this place but do not worry if you are a safe driver and know all the rules and prepared to give the test they just want safe driving. The instructor was really nice, i do not know his name but he was wearing glasses.

Such A bad customer service, returning hundreds of people home just telling we need your other id this not gonna work, also I have booked an appointment still waiting from last 45 minutes. No system. Also the lady at counter is so rude.

I came here from Squamish to do my skills test. I’ve rode bikes for a long time so I also had lessons just so I know the circuit of the test. When I went there to get it done I was passing all the circuits, then it came to the quick stop. I did the quick stop within the area marked but the examiner said it was a fail. My instructor said I did everything correct. I believe the examiners name was Chris. Bald guy, bit bigger and rude. Never coming back here again worse location. Matter a fact when I was waiting to talk to the boss he had me wait an hour. Please avoid this place if possible.

I just passed a class 7 road test and had a very positive experience with a lovely examiner not sure his name. He was absolutely wonderful but not that friendly in the beginning. He knows exactly how to deal with people, especially nervous younger people just getting their N. However, my whole test was very focused about every single thing like by turns and signals. In the middle of the test i felt like i’m gonna fail the test because he was getting loud and loud. At the end, he said no mistakes and you got your N. Thanks to all the icbc team.

Today i had my road test in this office, I am really disappointed that the examiner failed me because I choose safety and roles.In intersection he asked me to turn left, I stop at red line when it got green (No Arrow) i went forward and waited for the safe gap, as the role (coming traffic is priority and safety first) but he failed me cause he think there were a gap i should take and turn left. So I complained to supervisor and he says the examiner is professional and knows you didn’t turn while you got a gap. So it means roles and safety doesn’t matter all matters is the examiner’s opinion.So what if i turn left in the intersection and the upcoming traffic hit me?? Why should I take risk while I see vehicles are approaching and its near with speed of 50km/h or more.I am really disappointed.
