This place is an amazing little spot.10+ kinds of freshly roasted beans at an amazing price point. The couple that owns it are also incredibly friendly.

Great coffee & freshly roasted! It's also good value. I've tried several varieties now: Sumatra Mandehling, Brazil 7 Falls, Honduras Rosa de Copan, and the sigNXTure Blend. All differ and I lean to darker blends. Honduras might be my favourite. These aren't as dark as some but definitely on the darker end of the spectrum. Well worth a trip. I'm using the coffee for espresso, lattes, and Americanos. Parking in front & good access from Gateway or Calgary Trail.

We saw the signs and decided to check NXT Roasters out. It was a great experience touring the place and learning about each type of coffee bean they had. Will definitely be coming back for more fresh roasted coffee - it makes all the difference! Yum :)

What a gem this spot is! Inconspicuous spot tucked behind the Home Depot on 68 Ave connecting Gateway and Calgary Trail, but totally legitimate and the real deal.To be honest, the beans and roasts NXT does are a bit too dark/bold and oily for my taste, as I typically enjoy super light and fruity cups brewed in a Chemex, but that still doesn't make it any less than a 5-star spot in my eyes. While maybe not my typical preference, I can still tell that the quality and freshness are top notch and this is a spot I will be recommending to all my friends who prefer bolder brews, because this is a dark roast lover's dream.I especially think that NXT is perfectly representative of the small business charm, with super competitive prices ($10 for 250, cheapest I've seen for specialty coffee in Edmonton or Calgary) and friendly and knowledgeable service from the owners/partners up-front.I've tried the Fazenda Santa Helena Brazil and Costa Rica beans, and both were as fresh as it gets, robust, and distinctive. The Costa Rica especially has a nice aftertaste.Definitely give NXT a shot because they deserve much more recognition!

This is the ONLY place we want to buy coffee from from now on ., for the excellent flavour and the minimal use of resources to run this great roasteryThis is how business should be run. And always welcomed and greeted so graciously here. One of my favourite mom and pop shops in Edmonton!

This coffee is so good. The beans are roasted right at the shop. The owner Ray is happy to answer any questions you may have. Great variety, whether you like a light roast, dark or anything in between NXT has something for your tastes. They are sold as whole beans so have a grinder on hand.

I have purchased my coffee here for a couple of years. Tucked in behind the home depot, these people make some consistently great coffee beans. Grind your own, they come whole bean here. Knowledgeable on their products. Everything is freshly roasted either that day or a few days before. Prices are reasonable for a premium product. Ask questions, these people have your coffee related answers. Overall good enough to keep me coming back monthly for years now. Better than Starbucks beans, better than the stuff at the grocery store bulk aisle. Better than kicking horse and a bunch of others in the organic aisle.

We have travelled/lived in many places in the world and we always look for the coffee roasters. So far, this coffee is the best. The best! We now live across the country and have a monthly order shipped to us.A must try!And the owners are friendly, hardworking folks that know their business and are glad to talk about what they do if you have time.

This is absolutely the very finest coffee roaster in these parts.Fairly priced, very highest quality, and I am very fussy !It is a tiny little hole in the wall, and no Cafe, but make your own and save a pile.

Please, if you enjoy this coffee, by all means keep buying and drinking it! Taste is fairly subjective. Also, I’d way rather still support a local roaster than buy from mega-corporate coffee producers. So please take the following review with a grain of salt.I didn’t enjoy my beans from here. I bought 3 bags, each from a different origin. I found 2 of them were roasted so dark (oily bean surface, dark beans) that I could hardly taste (if at all) any of the origin characteristics of the bean. All I got was roasty notes. The third bag was labelled a “blonde roast”. This bag I just found the beans uninteresting. No interesting flavour notes to speak of, maybe just slight milk chocolate and… well… cardboard.I was hoping with all the 5-star reviews that this place could be the grail of affordable good coffee in Edmonton. But alas, it wasn’t meant to be for my tastes. I’ll keep roasting from home!
