Blue Agave Tequila Grill
Very excited for the opening of blue agave and will update my review when they launch their full menu.That said the place is beautiful with fun Latin American decor. I like the cactus dressed like a cowpoke a lot. Owner was really nice too, but a bit distracted by some ongoing work that needed to be done and at least one person got turned away because they had to close the kitchen in the middle of lunch service due to a leak. Owner forgot our hot sauce too.The food was excellent in quality but kinda mixed in portions. Birria Queso tacos were not super filling though they tasted great. Would have appreciated a few more chips or a small veggie side so I didn't end up hungry after. My wife got the chilaquiles and I was a little jealous as they were also delicious but a bit more substantial in size.

Living in a small town and being isolated; it’s hard to express my appreciation for culture language but it’s immense. I took travel and culture for granted before the pandemic. I took eating out and being comfortable in a crowd for granted.The Blue Agave brings an authentic and real world experience to Powell River. Victor and his incredible team make you feel right at home and like you were on vacation.We are blessed to have this addition to the community as their events have been outstanding, with impressive musical guests and lively performances. The food and drinks have been top notch! The feeling that you get at the Blue Agave is one of familia, pride and being indulged in traditional Mexican food and culture.

We had our son’s wedding at the restaurant…they worked with the bride and provided everything they wanted. The food was amazing and very authentic Mexican Food. The decor was perfect. Thank you for helping making it a great day!

Authentic in all areas, great food, yummy drinks, fast service, nice menu selection, good prices, nice decor, awesome entertainment and atmosphere. I feel like I'm in Mexico while there!

A beautiful restaurant owned by wonderful people. It’s inviting and warm, and the Mexican decor makes you feel like you’re on vacation! Their menu takes all diets into account and the vegan menu they offer has many options to choose from. This place is a must visit if you are in the area!

Not only does this place have an amazing atmosphere, but they shut down the restaurants for my brothers wedding, which turned out to be one of the best places you could have a ceremony. The staff was top-notch, as not only were they very attentive to everyone’s needs, but they were extremely friendly and made sure that anything the event needed happened. The food was fantastic for a small wedding event. I would recommend this place to anyone who either lives or is visiting Powel River!
