Is an excellent Building center!!! Great Hardware selection, Lumber everything!!

I guess I should have looked at the one star reviews before we went to this store, looking to have our kitchen renovated. We had used Home Hardware in Barrie for a massive renovation in our house and we were thoroughly pleased- enough that we wanted to use Home Hardware again. We try to avoid big box chains if we can support local.We met with kitchen designer Geoff on April 28th. I knew exactly what I wanted, had drawings of the layout as well as photos. He made a point of repeatedly telling us how experienced he was. It became annoying after awhile.From our previous reno, we know that all companies are swamped, so we allow for delays (i.e. ordered appliances in March, got them in June) and understand the pressures. He told us he wouldn't be able to start our drawings for 2 weeks. That was fine.So, here we are, 2 months exactly to the date, and we have heard nothing. No communication whatsoever, not even to say there had been an unexpected delay.So guess where we went? Yup, back to Barrie and they are very happy to help us. They will come to Bracebridge because they want our business. Initial drawings have already been done. Order will be going in shortly.Home Hardware Building Centre-Gravenhurst: you might want to do something about your deplorable customer service. All of these people can't possibly be disgruntled people. They are probably just as reasonable in their expectations that I am. Word of mouth and Google reviews can do a lot of harm to your business. Glad we dodged this one.

This place is fantastic. We have a contractor who is fixing our bathroom and he sends me over to pick up things I don't understand. All of the employees can read my mind and know what I want with a minimum of description. They are quick to help and so knowledgeable. Hands down the best customer service for home stuff in town!

High high level of Customer Service Level at this Particular Store...(Andrew & Every other associate at Lumber is Proficient in every way)...I never post ..reviews much. BUT THIS IS EXCEPTIONAL..so posting on these reviews.To The Owner, Your employees are 100% . You may have one of the Most advanced Service Courses or Such I have ever seen...I thought I better mention this so you are quite aware.... 'Indirectly...Good for you.

Being new to the Gravenhurst Community, not knowing anyone at first. I was referred to The Home Building Centre by my Realtor. Honestly, I couldn’t be happier with the level of Professionalism I received from everyone. I highly recommend for all of your Home Improvement Projects. You won’t be disappointed. Person at cash register was very very lazy. Understand she was by herself but did not have a care in the world to assist us in anyway. She was not willing to go out of her way to call for assistance. Do believe if this was her business she would have had a much different attitude. If you are not happy what you are doing maybe change it don't take it out on the customerWill definitely do our part not to shop there every again. Very disappointed.

Nothing but love for this place! Emily and Geoff are particularly fabulous. Excellent customer service. Run, don't walk, to get all your building supplies here!
