Hot Sox Laundrette

So this place is a bit hard to find so added a photo of the entrance, it’s on the second floor, you can take the lift and turn left before entering the tanning salon. $2 for a wash and the dryers are 25cents for 5 mins, it’s clean and the lady that works here is helpful. There’s a nice coffee shop near by and a machine to change up your notes into quarters.Absolute life saver whilst travelling and way cheaper than using the laundry services at the hotel. Machine wash takes 27 mins.

Half of the machines are out of order including the change machine. Looks like a chronic problem because the pics on their Google map site show machines out of order.Cant see this place staying in business. Put my wash in a washer full of suds, not rinsing properly? You don't know how much a machine costs until you put in the first quarter. Funny the machines don't take dollar coins. Bring your own roll of quarters. We we're staying at the harbour and walked here. Would have taken a cab to a decent laundromat.

Ok, probably 4 star but giving 5 stars to counter some of the 1 stars that almost made me not come. I’m glad I came.$3 to do a load, $0.25 per 5 min dryer.Located at 2nd level of building.When I came it was clean and comfortable. Some machines are down but I counted 8 working washers and about 12 good dryers.Coin change machine seems to be okay, although I got change from my hotel before coming.

Needs maintaince and upkeep. 10 of the 17 washing machines are out of service and have been since early 2018. Acceptably clean but not always tidy.Busy on weekends, expect to wait for a machine.Prices are fair but not much better or worse than anywhere else. $2 to $2.25 for wash and $0.25 for each 5 minutes of drying time.

After visiting another laundromat I am going back to Hot Sox. It's cheaper and machines are easier to use, instructions are readable and can easily exchange quarters with notes and coins. $2 per a wash and 5 mins per a quarter to use the dryer, just keeping adding until the desired time is reached.

The place is not being kept tidy / clean.The change machine didn’t work either for coins or for notes when I visited.This place operates only on cash, no cashless payment, and that’s inconvenient given that cash is not used that commonly these days.This time, folding surfaces were also dirty.If you don’t like running your business, then perhaps sell it and let someone else do a good job.

Vending machines are a rip off (items fall into the side where you can't reach them as you see what happened in the photos). Change machine is always broken. Claims Tan de Soleil doesn't work for them but yet you have to go to them for quarters and they are always rude. The phone number provided doesn't work.

Has everything you could need at a coin laundry! Travelling for work so was very thankful to have a conveniently located laundry with everything you could need to get me through the second week! A machine was available, had a comfortable chair and table to wait on, the vending machine had everything I needed to put my washing on and the coin machine meant I didn't have to go and source any coins. WiFi was available and my clothes are now clean. What else could you need?

This place needs some sort of security and maintenance. There are bums yelling at customers and trashed this place. ( the whole facility smelled like garbage and we had to throw out a mouth wash bottle out of the laundry machine. )They left shopping carts blocking the laundry machines.This place is dirty . You’re better off washing your clothes in a lake. The owners seems to ignore some serious issues .

Hot Sox is great! Definitely 5 stars.We were on holiday with a weeks worth of laundry for our travelling family of 4. A day earlier I schlepped it all over downtown Vancouver to 3 sites, all from Google, one had disappeared, one wanted to charge me $50, and one was really dry cleaner. Hot Sox is exactly what a traveller needs. All coin operated (quarters) washers and dryers.We did two loads of washing (12 quarters per load, 27 minutes, warm cycle) and one BIG load of drying, (a quarter per 5 min, our load was 45 min approx). That's super-affordable.Exchanging cash for quarters from the Tanning Salon next door (as per the instructions) was easy. The vending machine was well stocked with detergent and bounce pads.The place was clean and not at all busy when we were there (11 am on a Tuesday).We also got free parking just around the corner, (pay parking outside is also available).There is no attendant, but that was no problem if you can follow simple instructions. As it was, we had a great discussion with the lovely owner (also owns the next-door tanning salon) which passed the time.All in all it was clean, easy, efficient and very affordable. I would highly recommend
