Defining Moments Photography

Dana first photographed my family when my first daughter was born almost 8 years ago. From the moment I met her I was thrilled. Her professional manner, charming demeanor and her collaboration with us made the experience one to remember. I enjoyed this experience so much, that Dana has now captured all of my family photos from then on. She has taken my kids as they have grown up over the years, our family Christmas photos, Halloween photos, fall photos....you name it, she's done it! We love them so much that I currently have 20 of them, from over the years, printed and hanging in picture frames throughout my house. You will have zero regrets if you work with Dana!

Dana was amazing. She did newborn pictures for both of my children. I love her style. She interacted with my newborn babies with confidence, and respect. She's accommodating, responsive, and so talented. She captured the most beautiful pictures, all while making me feel like I was at the spa. I would recommend Dana over and over again.

We have done a number of family photos with Dana. The newborn photos turned out better than I could have imagined and she was so easy to work with! She took her time and was very good with newborns. We loved our experience with her so much that after that we did Halloween pictures and Christmas pictures with her too! They all turned out amazingly well!

Dana did an amazing job taking our newborn photos! She had a lot of good ideas for cute shots and had all the equipment and props needed. She was extremely patient with our son, and had a caring and professional personality. I would highly recommend her photography to anyone. Looking forward to working with her again!

I am so impressed with Dana's talent as a photographer. I wish I would have found her sooner. Her eye for capturing moments on film is absolutely amazing. She has taken photos of my son for his first birthday cake smash, Halloween photos, and family photos. I always have a hard time choosing which images to keep. Dana is an amazing photographer. She is a joy to work with, she makes sure your vision is understood and even helped me pick through some outfits for our family pictures. We have used Dana for our daughter’s newborn and first birthday pictures and Dana was wonderful. She has a really calm energy and is amazing with children. I love her simple, natural, clean timeless, photography style. Picture quality is excellent with a good turn around time in getting the images. Totally worth it and we plan on getting our family pictures with her yearly!

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Dana three times in the last 2 years - for my daughter’s sitter session (8 months), an outdoor Mother’s Day session, and most recently, my daughter’s second birthday session. Each session was amazing! My daughter is not one to enjoy staying still or “posing” but Dana was able to work her magic and got some absolutely perfect photos in each session. We are so sad Dana left the Guelph area but highly recommend her to anyone wanting to get kids and family portraits done!

We booked four photo session in total with Dana - two newborn and two one year milestone photos for both our kids. To say we love every single one of the photos is an understatement- Dana is amazing! From our initial contact with booking the sessions, communication before the sessions and follow-ups, everything was smooth and professional. Both of my babies arrived early and Dana had no trouble ‘rescheduling’ our original roughed in dates to accommodate us. Our two kids also both had short hospital stays after birth so we were overprotective parents, but Dana was so warm and welcoming that we felt completely comfortable entrusting our little ones with her (even our 4lb 9oz little man ☺️). Her home studio was set up with all the colour choices that we had prearranged, and even some special touches that Dana had up her sleeve. I would not hesitate to book future photos with Dana or recommend her to everyone!

Dana was so fantastic with our newborn baby. As first time parents, we were nervous for him crying or it being a difficult session and those worries were gone once seeing Dana’s experience with newborns and her ability to sooth them. Her photography skills were fantastic, she was able to direct us for the best photo and was so gentle and cautious when placing our baby in the cutest positions. When receiving our photo gallery, the quality of the photos was 10/10. Every photo was a favourite, making it hard to pick which ones we wanted. The USB she delivered with all our photos on it was a nice touch as well.

Dana and Defining Moments Photography is amazing! We have used Dana twice, both for our son's newborn photographs in 2013 and 2015. Dana has a very special way with babies and knows how to capture all the right moments. She is an extremely patient and kind photographer. The photographs we have are priceless!
