Gord Bush Performance

My mechanic took my FR-S engine to Gord to be rebuilt purely based on his reputation. While I have to admit that I wasn't happy with the wait (it took a few weeks), the work was extremely well done. My mechanic remarked at how clean the rebuild was.Gord has been in business for over 40 years and has worked on all kinds of engines, both for recreational and racing purposes. As soon as I met him in person, I knew he was going to give my engine his full attention and care.I highly recommend anybody needing engine work in the GTA to go here. Gord is a stand up guy and his work is impeccable.

Do yourself a favour and just go to the US to get it done. For what he charges, it works out the same but only difference is you get an engine that last from the US engine builders. I had lost 3 Honda Prelude engines due to his work. He's very quick to blame you (customer) but turns out when he removed the balancing shafts on the H22A engine he forgot to rotate the bearing and plug off the oil gallery causing the engine to lose oil pressure. You have to plug these off when you remove the balancing shafts to create oil pressure within the block. So after 3 engines, time wasted and thousands upon thousands of dollars. I finally took it elsewhere. Not to mention the 3rd engine it dropped a valve on cranking only. He's notorious for building bad engines in the Honda community. So buyer beware.

Have had only the best work done here over the years, from resurfaced flywheels, dirt bike engines and v-twin cruiser engines.I refer everyone here.

This is the place where horsepower is born. I was here picking up a cylinder head and Gord took me on a quick tour of the shop. What a rare gem of a place and an absolute treasure trove of toold and equipment. It's so exciting to see all the components of various engines stored with so much care. Defenatley recommend for all of your engine machining needs.

Brought him a B18C gsr block for machining and he recommend some Darton midsleeves and claimed to be an expert installer. Upon getting the engine started I had oil coming into the radiator. After several trips and his lack of diagnostics I found the crack along the oil gallery where the oil was pushing it's way into my coolant jacket. Block ran 100% before bringing it to him. He said to use irontite when I had 10 grand into the engine. What a joke. Blamed porosity and he said he would repair it properly and ended up just using the irontite. The block held up for 10 minutes of run time before mixing again. After warping the pistons and ditching the block it was 4k spent that when down the pipes. (The block is engraved F.Y.G.B. and used as a table in my shop) sure you guys can figure that out. Pulled the sleeves myself and he just used the irontite himself. Guy a waste of time and money. He got old and lost the passion no doubt. I've heard more horror stories come out of this shop and I thought he was one of the best in the province.

I had my RBC intake manifold from my 2010 Honda civic si ported by Gord and he did a very good job on it, It was worth the money and wait which was a3month wait when Gord Told me and I had no problem with as long as it did not 6months or something crazy which it did not.

Sold me a bad oil pump. Told me it was in perfect condition, and not to open it. I opened it regardless. Found clevite assembly lube so i know it was inspected, but the gears were completely distroyed. This pump was going on my $20,000 race engine. Gord Bush also made several other mistakes on my customers engines & blamed me. So no warranty. Stay away from this business.

Great experience and excellent work. I had quite a few questions and Gord was really patient and took the time to explain everything I needed to know. Turn around time was quicker than expected and it was a pleasure to do business with this company. Recommended.
