New Dragon House Restaurant
This place is our go to place for food when we come to town!The folks who work here are super friendly, and create a great atmosphere.My favorite is the chicken balls, chicken Chow Mein, and beef chop Suey. Although their egg fried rice is high up there! Definitely recommend for a dinner at home or dining in!

I ordered a dinner for 4 last nite that includes chicken chow mein, when I opened the container I could not find one piece of chicken, I contacted the restaurant and spoke to the owner who proceeded to say that was impossible and called me a liar! Then hung up on me! We have been ordering from this restaurant for over 20 years which used to be Dragon Fort. The restaurant has changed ownership several times in the past few years, the prices have gone uo and the size of the portions and quality have gone down. I will never order from Dragon House again, after telling him (the owner) how long we have been their customer and I've never been treated in such a manner as when he hung up! If you order from them be prepared, don't bother calling them, they will call you a liar if they screw up your order, my order was $99.

Have been here several times over the years. Sometimes good sometimes bad. Always though you get large portions for what you pay. This last time the food was perfect. Just wanted to commend the new owners on a job well done.

I've lived in Alderbush for over 20 years and used to get food here when it was called Dragon Fort which was really good with huge portions. The name changed years ago and the quality went wayyyyyy down as did the portions. Havent tried it since and that was at least 3 years ago.I decided to give it one more chance today and thank God I did. What a splendid meal! Not sure if its new owners, cooks or management but whatever the hell is going on over there is truly something to behold. I loved my chicken chow mein, the breaded almond chicken was plump crispy and not over breaded. The sweet and sour pork was tender and not dried out whatsoever. I'll be back very soon and hope the Alderbush community supports this restaurant also. If you had a bad meal there in the past know that i did too but clearly there are changes and some really good Chinese cuisine is coming out of there now!Bon Appétit !

Average sized portions, prices were high, food was average, service was great. Food was ready in a decent amount of time. About 30 minutes for takeout. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They had a few people waiting around dinner time.The chow mein was average, the barbecue pork fried rice was great and full of flavor but had an insane amount of peas, the almond chicken was good with an unusual twist, they sprinkle sugar on top, in all my years of ordering Chinese food no one else has done that. They blend the sugar with the crushed almonds for the topping. It reminds me of the sugary coating on donuts. It actually tasted pretty good.I was not a fan of the honey garlic pork. My usual place in Surrey puts on a generous coating of sauce leaving a pool of sauce in the bottom of the container. They're all sticky and dripping with flavor and you can spoon the excess sauce in the container over the food on your plate. But the honey garlic pork at this place was almost dry. I couldn't taste the honey or garlic at all.I also wasn't a fan of the size of the pork pieces in the honey garlic pork. For me the smaller the better. I like the nice crispy ones. The pork chunks here were very large. I got a few super long ones the size of chicken strips. They should be diced much smaller. The pieces were so large it just wasn't appetizing. The chunks look like chicken wings.That spring rolls I guess are hit and miss. We ordered two. One was perfect nice and crispy and the other one was completely soggy. I don't know what happened there.Overall I think their prices are just a bit too high for what you're getting.

Are you kidding me about anything over a star ? My chop suey had 3 small pieces of broccoli and a few pieces of meat , chow mein was plain and just terrible, my daughter couldn't eat her what was supposed to be fried rice because it was disgusting she said and it looked it. Worst Chinese food I can think of ever having.

Ordered a beef fried rice take out. They prepared it less than two minutes. It got Hardly any meat or vegetable on it. No flavor at-all. Waste of money.Highly dissatisfied. No more Chinese food from Aldergrove again.
