A wonderful store with that old time service you can't find anymore.

Such a great little store for Athens!A shopper should be able to find anything there (from printer ink to nails to warm socks!)Gifts (handcrafted from area businesses) are readily available upstairs at the back of the store. Reg who happens to be the Owner is there nearly everyday & the customer is #1 for him. His employees are in the exact same belief & will bend over backwards to try and help you find whatever you may be looking for; if they do not do not have it, they are more than willing to order it in for you.Athens Hardware's prices are on par with all the other big hardware stores out therelike Home Depot, Home Hardware, Canadian Tire, etc Most visits I find it's a better deal.The people that work there & there are three including Reg that I have become so familiar with over the years. kno. It's a small store but it's also a heritage building so its quite long. It's just jammed with great finds! Customer Service? Excellent. Plus they are always good to have a laugh with.They will help you bring your stuff out to the car if there's a lot or if it's too heavy. In the Spring & Summer, they have seedlings in the back, this also happens to be where they sell the Lumber.Why wouldn't you want to profit a small business in a small town with such wonderful people that work with it and for it. If Athens were ever to lose this main store I think everyone in the area would be devastated.

Amazing service, good prices and a great selection of tools. Beats waiting for 3 days for something from a box store--these guys have it all!

These people are great. Any time I phone they promptly and professionally answer all my questions. Anytime I drop by for a purchase they have what I need or a suitable alternative. They are a great addition to the community and I try to stop there first for prompt service and expert advice.

DO I REALLY NEED TO VLUE THIS WONDERFUL PLACE---EVERONE ELSE HERE IN ALL THE RULES SWEAR BY THIS PLACE AND I AGREE 100% WHEN ALL THE RATING ARE PERFECT---SO IS THE STORE--I SHOP HERE AND BROCKVILLE IS CLOSER BUT THESE PEOPLE ARE DOWN HOME AND CARE....THANK YOU SO MUCH ATHENS HARDWARE YOUR A GREAT ADDITION TO THIS WONDERFUL TOWN

Love this hardware store. Staff is so friendly and everything you need is there and then some. Have yet to go upstairs to the gift section. Can't wait!!

Amazing friendly staff which will go above and beyond to help you. Such great selection for a country hardware store, we buy mostly everything here. They now have a gift shop upstairs!
