So much history here! The planes on display outside are accessible and really help in understanding how it might have felt to fly in one. These crews were brave and skilled. Inside the displays are well laid out and explained. The 9/11 tribute is worth the time to watch. With Kleenex in hand. Gander folks were amazing!! Still are.

Fun museum with flight simulators! Lots of history surrounding the building of the airport and uses throughout the years. A display regarding the 911 incident, Gander showed true Canadian hospitality and more accurately down east hospitality.

If you enjoy learning history, this is a must visit when passing through. The Gander Airport carries so much interesting history from it's inception to today. Then there is the information on 911 which is so heart warming.

Very informative..Loved learning about the war effort and how amazing they coped with all the diverted planes to their tiny airport and the nearly 7,000 passengers and crew..

A small museum, but they try hard. They are currently fundraising to expand the museum and bring one of the bombers inside. Gander was once the MOST important airport in North America and played a key role in supplying the RAF. And let us never forget what the people of Gander did for those air passengers stranded by the atrocities of 911. This town and airport deserve a much better museum to commemorate their importance in history.

It was very interesting! Especially the cockpit of the DC3. I’d flown in one of these planes many years ago on MCA. Long gone airline. The uniforms, the planes outside make it interesting for almost anyone.

Nice place to stop and be able to have a hands experience with old planes and learn their history. Back of museum has the nose of an airplane sticking out if the building. Didn't have time to look through the museum but looked very interactive and staff available to answer questions. I think there is some sort of flight simulator inside but best to call and confirm.
