Vacuflo Built-In Central Vacuum Systems

The Hide-a-Hose that we installed in our home has been one of the best investments that we made. It costs more than a central vac but was well worth it. No more lugging hoses around and it has been great. We did have an issue with it after 5 years where we were puzzled that it all of a sudden lost suction. Rob was great on the phone and rather than send a service guy he helped me solve the problem which was 1) me forgetting to (ever) clean the cone in the unit and 2) my son leaving the garage hose attached which was totally the reason for the loss of suction!! He saved me a lot of money by not sending someone out and is helping me find the least expensive way to replace a part that someone broke. Great product! Great service!

BEWARE!!!! We installed a hide-a-hose system in our new home. The hose has a sock on it that over time bunches up and hinders the hose retracting. The tech said it is how we pull it out, but after repositioning the sock and retracting it, the sock started bunching again! We also had a service issue where the handle had a short in it and they told us all it needed was batteries. After a more difficult time than necessary, the handle was changed and it works fine. For a product twice the cost of a regular central vac, we have had a less than stellar experience.Update-a year later, another hose is getting stuck and Wendy gave us nothing but a hard time to fix it. Finally I asked if it is under warranty and it was. Why the resistance to fix it? Had to call H-P products in the USA to get help. They told us they are sending new hoses. Why didn't Wendy do that in the first place instead of arguing for 30 minutes as it is under the 3 year warranty.

BUYER BEWARETo start, I would give 0 stars if I could. Would not recommend purchasing the Vacuflo system, especially not through this North York store.The product has stopped working 5 times in 4 years costing us well over $5,000 (on top of our initial purchase of approximately $3,500) despite the apparent lifetime warranty." Each time we make a warranty claim to address issues with the motor we have been met with horrendous customer service. I wanted to comment on my recent service with Vacuflo in Toronto.I wanted to thank Wendy, Terry and George for a wonderful service execution. From my call and voicemail on Sunday, February 10th, I was contacted early on Monday, booked service for Wednesday morning and, through a winter storm, George (technician) showed up as planned with a FREE replacement motor which was under a lifetime warranty and got my vacuum working beautifully. Truly a very memorable experience! It is wonderful, in this day and age, that great customer service is still prevalent.As an aside, my Vacuflo 466Q is approx. just over (10) years old and one of my favorite and most utilized appliances in my household; an excellent machine that I would recommend to anyone!Thank you again!

We have had the Vacuflo central vacuum for about 14 years and have been happy with it. Recently we noticed less suction power so George came over and I cannot express how professional, knowledgeable and personable he was. Before he even came he made suggestions for what to check before in order to not spend money on coming to our house. When those did not get the results we needed he came over and checked, replaced the motor (that was under warranty - so MAKE SURE YOU REGISTER YOUR UNIT), repaired or replaced everything that needed to get it working like brand new. I have met very few service people that understand what they are doing so well and that I genuinely trusted to do what was necessary and were honest in their assessment and their work. When something is sold to you and its new, everything is great but when something goes wrong, it says a lot about a company that stands by their product and has excellent customer service many years later when there are issues. I would highly recommend Vacuflo if you are looking for a central vacuum system for its quality and the company that stands behind it. Pretty rare nowadays.

We had a Vacuflo central vacuum system with Hide-a-hose installed nearly ten years ago and we've literally had no issues with the system. We are only now changing the handle because the plastic insert into the hose cracked (we use our system a lot!).The installation went very well and we've been very happy with the performance and reliability of the system. You can't beat the Hide-a-hose system - we amaze people who come over and show them the vacuum hose as it pulls out of the wall! Don't believe naysayers at other vacuum places that say the sock will get dirty because it's in the vacuum system. The sock stays very clean. Overall, we`ve been very happy!
