This afternoon my wife and I purchased a sofa bed from The Chesterfield Shop. The sales representative, Binal Shah, was courteous and extremely helpful to us in coming to a conclusion about which of the many available sizes and models was right for us. She was patient and unhurried and listened to what we were looking for. She made shopping in this store a pleasant experience.

Stephan and the team were fantastic in helping us pick out a new sofa. It was a big purchase for us and they didn’t rush or pressure us like a lot of other shops we visited. The only point of improvement for me would be their online store doesn’t showcase all of their products or the materials they have available. They do sleepers that come in parts and are built in your basement, if only we had known that prior to going to ikea, we would have bought one from them too! The quality of product is pretty high end but you aren’t paying an extortionate price which is great. Would go back in the future!

The Chesterfield Shop by its longevity tells you something - it’s a great! Being in business since 1948 speaks volumes! What I didn’t know, a secret that needs release (secret to me anyway) is they have an absolutely FANTASTIC location on King. This location caters to small spaces! Small spaces equals condo living! Their selection is amazing. And their customer service is beyond reproach. I stumbled in there on a rainy Saturday morning (May 20th)only to be greeted by a very friendly and sincerely welcoming staff. Stephen took great pains with great patience to listen and actually hear me about what I needed, what my concerns were [and how we’re going to fit it in the elevator of a condo.] before assisting me in selecting the perfect sofa.. The customer service from Stephen was outstanding. I didn’t feel any pressure to buy. I was encouraged to look around and to take my time before making such a selection. He really helped me all the way through it. If you haven’t been to this location in King, you must go - especially if you’re living Downtown. They actually cater to condo living at this location! I didn’t know this. To be sure, there are options out there. But if you want well made, top quality Canadian made - this is your store. They only sell high-quality furniture that will last as long as you want to keep it ! And as noted, the customer service is second to none. What more can I say than that? Thank you Stephen for your help!

I am very happy with my purchase. The Atticus couch and Novato are rug were perfect for my small sized condo and gave my place a bohemian cozy vibe. The delivery was quick and professional, the communication was good and the sales person Binal was very knowledgeable and helped me make a decision.

We were impressed with the selection at the shop, and the salesperson was very helpful. We never felt rushed as we tried several of the sofas, sometimes twice, and he was very knowledgeable about the products and materials. Our new sofa was delivered ahead of schedule, and it's exactly what we were looking for.

We ordered and paid for half of our $6,000+ couch at this location in April 2022 and were told it will be a 12-14 week delay before we get it. We were sad, but accepted that wait time. However at the 14 week mark we heard nothing. So we called to ask for a status update and they got back to us 2 days later saying it won’t be ready until October. There is a big difference between waiting 3 months and waiting 6 months. Finally October comes around and NO WORD again. No one called us or emailed us ever. So we called for them for information. Again, 2 days later they said “oh sorry we don’t have any springs to finish your couch. It will be ready at the end of December”.8 months from the day we bought & paid for our couch we finally got a call saying our couch was coming tomorrow. Less than 24 hrs notice.Thankfully we were home that day and now we have the couch! But the lack of communication throughout the entire 8 month wait was disappointing. They gave us a small discount on delivery charges but that’s it. We still paid over $100 for delivery in addition to the couch that came 8 months late.We LOVE the couch, but really didn’t love the service after putting down the deposit.
