Authentic decor, Made in Mexico goods to take home in the store at the back with a 10% discount if you shop while dining in.Service staff is quick to serve.High-quality service, mature casual crowd.Food was good quality, we really enjoyed the lamb belly baracoa , the beet ceveche served with blue corn tortilla chips , and the cauliflower tacos was our least favorite although the serving size was fairly generous.

This is the best Mexican restaurant we have ever been to. The food is shockingly good, and the margaritas are to die for. Thank you to the amazing staff for being so friendly, helpful, and joyful in the food and drink they made us!

I've never had such conflicting views about the food and service. The food was amazing. I ordered the chicken tacos and a margarita. Although it tasted great, the food is way too overpriced. $18 for 2 tiny tacos??!! My server was good but the lady at the front was EXTREMELY RUDE. She said it would be a 20 min to half an hour wait. After half an hour I went to check in with her. She walked right past me and ignored me thrice without even acknowledging that I was standing there. She looks at me, looks away and helps the party behind me and walks away to sort out their table. Clearly, she was being racist towards me. I then called out for her and then she looks at me and says table for one right?". So clearly she remembers why I was there. I didn't catch her name

Food is great, service is top notch. Highly recommended.After a walk around Granville island with our kids, we feel like we are desperate for good dinner and nice drink. It was a sunny day outside and their patio was full. We are happy to sit inside because we had kids and the party is more than 8 people so it is hard to accommodate at the patio. And the service and food to drink did not disappoint at all. Drinks are great, I love their grilled cactus, very interesting taste to try. Will come back again if we want some place to chill out in Granville island

My experience at Alimentaria Mexicana Grill could have been better regarding the food, which left room for improvement. And costly, 80$ dollars for two people is crazy! However, the service provided was the highlight of my visit. Our waitress displayed remarkable kindness and was incredibly helpful, offering valuable menu suggestions and ensuring our overall satisfaction.

It's really a great place, great food, great service, great atmosphere. The only thing that really confusing is the signage. It's better if they will put up Alimentaria Mexicana than Cantina on the entrance.

The food was phenomenal, the service left a lot to be desired. The waitress seemed uninterested and took a very long time to drop the bill, even though our drinks were empty, our wallets were out and we were trying to flag her down. The strangest thing is we were told the patio had a big waitlist" but when we sat inside it looked pretty empty? Great food

Try it for Dine Out 2023: pozole and mole! I had reg menu items of lamb barbacoa plus halloumi & nopales & this was perfect for two. Spicy salsas have so much depth and flavour.Also, Niña Piña is so delicious so get yourself one or three. Service was exemplary. I will return!UPDATE: Came back the very next week & tried the Dine Out menu. Same amazing server. Pozole verde was exceptional! Each hominy kernel was a tasty treasure. Everything here with tomatillos in it is roasted perfectly & has so much flavor. also hey guess what you can get a pitcher of Niña Piña for $52 so next week I am back with 3 friends.
