Body Energy Club: Burnaby @ Highgate Village Shopping Centre

Seems like a busy place with a very nice location. They have a lot of very tasty options. We got chocoberry açai n razz butter n it tastes amazing, very light n made us full but not heavy. They also fill it to the very top of the brim which is worth the price. Def would go there again. Also their straws are sturdyy although I realized they will start cracking after for a while

Love coming in to grab an blueberry acai! Tastes so good! Staff are friendly and prices are great for my daily vitamin must-haves (C, D, K, Zinc, etc).

I've been here in person a couple times and always have great service and love how customizable the smoothies are. I have also ordered through doordash and my order always comes quickly and fresh!

Smoothie Bowls are really good! Would definitely recommend the Green Goddess Bowl.Browse the store while you wait because it also has a good variety of vitamins and supplements.

This place is a one stop shop. Not only does it have workout and health supplements, it also has a full smoothy bar and food bowles. Some of the best shakes that I have ever had. Would highly recommend this place and to try the PB and J shake. I definitely will be a returning customer.

Thank you!Original 1 star review: I wanted to give this place a fair shot but this was the last straw from today. I was excited to use the 50% off coupon only to find out you were required to sign up for their loyalty card to use it. After reluctantly signing up, I ordered a smoothie and since it was super busy inside I waited outside. Once the person in front of me came outside with their smoothie, I went back in thinking mine would be ready next. I asked if mine was ready and she said one minute. Then I stood there for at least another 10-15 mins and watched the staff make 5 other smoothies in front of me. I told her I think she forgot my order then she said again one minute. Why are you working on the online orders when I’m standing right there in front of you?The smoothie is very below average, very gritty and separates within minutes.The final straw (pun intended) was when I went to take a sip of it, the straw just randomly broke (no I didn’t bite the straw), literally picked up the cup and it fell apart. Get rid of these choke hazard straws and save yourselves from a potential lawsuit.

Love BEC, but we cannot stand their Highgate location. Most of the staff are rude, talk unprofessionally amongst themselves without greeting customers or helping in a timely manner, they take forever just to take your order (every single time we’ve gone they have made us wait for several minutes before even beginning to take our order), and every single time we wait for at least 15 minutes, even if there is nobody else there except us. I understand smoothies and bowls take a few moments to make, but the amount of time they take when they have 4-5 staff at a time sometimes is absolutely ridiculous. We just went again and had them prioritize 6-7 smoothies for people BEHIND us in line before even starting on our bowls, making my husband wait 25-30 minutes, and this type of thing happens every single time we go. The Highgate village location has single-handedly ruined our experience of BEC, and as loyal customers who have been coming to BEC for years, and had some good experiences at the busier downtown locations, I can say it’s disappointing and upsetting that we will probably stop going thanks to the staff at this location and how rude and unprofessional they have been. As someone who manages staff myself in my own work, I highly suggest management focuses on proper training, and hire friendlier staff with sufficient customer service skills.

Wow. That new bamboo straw is absolutely horrendous.First your mouth is assaulted with a texture of 36 grit sandpaper, which was a consistent till the end.Secondly the straw is so flimsy it just collapses when you try to get a sip. It's so no match for your thick delicious smoothie nectar. Very feeble structural integrity and probably not rated for the application.Third, the gravel like texture of the straw brushing against the cup is pure torture. It evokes feelings of nails on chalkboard" with a splash of "sharp knife cutting styrofoam". Nightmare fuel.I encourage the manager (probably corporate marketing team) to try to get through an entire smoothie without getting anxiety

The blueberry açai bowl was divine. It was exactly what I needed after a long bike ride!

I don’t really go out of my way to write a review but I went to this BEC the other day (after going to the UBC one and didn’t really have a great experience there), was looking for a product but was having a hard time and that’s when Rajesh came to help. He was so patient with me in explaining the benefits of each of the products I was looking for and really took the time to guide me through the process. I have also tried the Blueberry açaí bowl as per his recommendation and cannot get enough of it! I drive 45 mins just for the delicious bowl and the exceptional experience from Rajesh whenever I need a new supplement. 5+ stars experience.
