We purchased a GE Dishwasher a year ago, 2 days before the warranty expired we left it on delay to run overnight and there was a major failure where the water never ran and the heater remained on. It got so hot that it melted our Tupperware to the point it was dripping out of the dish racks and (I will post pictures) smoke was throughout the house. We tripped the breaker in time before there was flames but the whole house smelled like melting plastic...very scary! In 2012 GE had a large recall of dishwashers for this very defect, fire risk from over heating so I figured this process to have ours replaced would be painless as they are very aware of the danger this represents. Of course not, this Mabe company took my first call around December 12th, sent a technician on the 18th (who took 4 photos and left), having heard nothing I called on the 21st and was told 48-72 hours for a decision on next steps. Called yesterday and today but still waiting on a Manager" to look at the file. We have had a half melted dish washer in our Kitchen since December 3rd.
