Rowena's Inn on the River

We booked Rowena's for our wedding day. We had 40 people in the Inn itself and it could not have been more perfect! Tyler & Cara (the wedding coordinators) were marvellous to work with. Cara was our contact person as we ironed out the details, she was nothing but professional and we could tell she had a lot of practise in planning weddings. Tyler was our day-of coordinator and we felt so supported and taken care of by him. He did everything in his power to make it the most perfect day - he helped us with the timing of our ceremony and that went perfectly, he helped round up family members/friends when it came time for photos, he made sure we were taken care of throughout dinner, and many many more things that made him just the most wonderful asset for the day of our wedding.The venue is beyond words when it comes to the beauty of it. I arrived at 9am to start getting ready and the morning light was just glistening off the river, it felt like I was stepping into a storybook. Rowena's Inn was also a perfect part of that fairy tale; a 1920's decorated home, this Inn exuded charm and whimsy. We utilized the Rose Room for getting ready and it was such a luxurious space for hair and makeup, I felt so pampered.If you are happy with a 40 person or less wedding, I would HIGHLY recommend actually having the reception in the Inn. It's gorgeous and feels so cozy and intimate. Plus, with a smaller guest list, we were able to have the 3 course plated meal which was served to us by the most attentive and conscientious staff. The food was delicious and it felt so special that our guests and us were served right to our seats as opposed to buffet style.1000/10 would recommend Rowena's Inn for your wedding! It'll be the most magical day of your life.

I booked our 2 night stay back in January 2022 for the pet friendly rustic cabin. I was really excited for our stay and thought I got a good deal at $399 a night plus a $100 resort credit, bottle of wine and $80 food credit. A few days before our stay I was informed of the construction that was happening right next to our cabin and so they said they would give us 25% off but no longer a $100 credit which still saved us some extra money ($299 a night). But even after getting it for that price I did not find it worth it. The room was run down (bathroom door difficult to close/lock, kitchen sink faucet falling apart and even fell off on our last day. While the bed and toilet were clean I did find the rest of the place not up to my standards considering this is usually a $499 a night room. There were previous customers long hairs everywhere, my dog kept finding things on the ground from the previous stay that he would lick at, the mirrors were dusty and shower had spider webs above. I also noticed that the jacuzzi had small dead flies in it.We were warned that the construction was outside our place and it really was. Our back porch was pretty much attached to the construction site and they started work at 7:30am instead of the 8am start we were told. After coming back from a hike (one we found off the resort as the one trial they had on the resort was very short), we were locked out of our room. The door pad no longer worked and we had a tee time booked to get to. The receptionist came fairly quickly to unlock it manually but did not have a spare key for us to use until it was fixed. We didn't feel comfortable leaving our dog their while the maintenance person tried to fix it so we had to delay our tee time until the maintenance man was able to sort it out (luckily there was another tee time available since it was on a week day in the early afternoon). I will say that all the staff were friendly and the food at the clubhouse was pretty good but again a bit overpriced. The one good thing I did enjoy was the wood burning fireplace, however the chairs in front of the firepit were not clean and old so I used blankets to sit on them. They definitely need to update those chairs. Overall I would not stay there again as it was way overpriced and not very clean.

Beautiful location and cute cabins; however, there is little privacy, and it looks like the charming feel of seclusion will be gone as they are heavily building more cabins with little space.The food is standard pub/club, decent quality, service was a mixture of good, and horribly for the restaurant, the golf course is decent however I will not go back.

We stayed in the classic cabin, the resort is quiet and beautiful. One thing, just be ready to get up early as the sky light is bright, daylight shines directly on the bed at 5:30am. We were aware of the construction after our booking but we didn't expect it to be directly out front of the cabin obstructing our view. We would go back but maybe after the expansion is done. Otherwise a great experience!

We had the great experience of staying in the cottage, Our room opened onto a beautiful balcony that faced the pool and the river.We had the best view for sharing some wine!Rooms are bright, airy, keeping the true historic feeling of the original home.Love the restaurant, choices for meals, drinks, A+, service A+.One of my favorite places to relax ❤️

Staff (booking) were all awesome. Restaurant service was also really good. They just seemed to think of all the little extras. Someone even called me to ask question about my accommodation to make sure everything was lined up with a reservation (we had a dinner reservation for less people than we listed on our booking and they reached out to ensure that was intentional so we didn't have guests left out during dinner - that attentionto detail was amazing!) Also stayed with my husband in one of the small cabins for a separate trip. Everything was great. Loved the walking trails and scenery. Highly recommended!!

We recently spent 3 nights at Rowenas while golfing at Sandpiper. Everything was outstanding from the cleanliness and comfort of our cabin to the amazing food at the restaurant. The staff at the front desk and restaurant were at absolutely first class! We can't wait to go back.

I love Rowena's it is one of my favorite places to go. For the golf and for the food and lodging. However I took. My daughter and granddaughters for Hi TEA.on Sunday. I was a little disappointed. For what we got for $75 Each.!! It was not worth This. amount For what we Received.
