It's a big NO. Don't come to this hospital if you're in emergency. That took my wife 8 hrs wait for just taking blood for testing and no any treatments. Her pain is getting worse and worse and they did NOTHING. Had to wait next 2 days for ultrasound and they couldn't figure out the issue. And they still did NOTHING. I meant don't even give her an advil or something for her cramping pains. Absolutely useless hospital.

My 8 year old son had to have day surgery. I was so impressed with everything. From the location, to the parking garage, the signage to figure out where to go. The cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. The were ++thorough and made my son feel so comfortable. 10/10 verse other hospitals I've been too.

When you to visit the Emergency Department 3 times for the same issue and told the 1st Doctor didn't take of it .... Nice facilities, but it didn't take very long for this new hospital to compare evenly with the older hospitals when it comes to efficiency and service. Waste of money. As per site:Our state-of-the-art facility is enabling our physicians and staff to deliver healthcare in new and innovative ways

Was a great experience at the hospital. It's more like 5-star hotel experience with nurses around to change your diapers, excellent room service with meals brought on time, and a lovely retreat from this busy world. My mother had an accident and slipped and needed a knee replacement. After a brief ordeal, she was assigned a room with a lovely view on the 11th floor. One of the nurses, Kemi, was amazing with her. She checked on her, made sure she was okay, and offered to bathe her and went beyond her call of duty. The other nurses were all lovely and treated my mother very well. The surgery was excellent, no complications or even any pain and she has already started her recovery process and we are now taking care of her at home. Exceeded all of our expectations.

Great helpful staff. Appointments are on time, it's modern and very clean, the rooms are spacious as well and house cleaning 2x day. Equipment is up to date spacious and a food court with several optional.

The fracture clinic at this hospital is so bad, they book you an appointment and then have u arrive early only to have you wait 1hr.45mins after your appointment to see a doctor that just rush though your injuries because you are not screaming in pain. Staff here is too busy in their own personal life that they don't care about the patients. I hate the fact that am paying tax for service like this. They need to change.

Do not go here if there is something seriously wrong with you. They're nurses are 90% horrible. Literally had one nurse come into a family members room gave the pills to another family member and said here give him these. They did not bring him ice chips or water when he desperately needed them. The doctors all gave wrong diagnosis, and when we requested a transfer they told us there was no room anywhere and after that day the help we got was less and less. Then when he finally got discharged we went to Mount Sinai the doctors there could not believe the stupidity at this hospital. They said there was room here for you we were expecting you and you never came. They did the tests and now we'll wait for a proper diagnosis within the week. We were forced to stay there for 3 weeks and had nothing done for us and we went to this hospital and everything done in a week. Humber river seems to only care about the money they receive for caring" for you nothing else. These people should be ashamed of themselves."

This hospital takes patients they can’t get to and cannot sustain. I have to specify this is for labour and delivery/triage. When I called at 3am to indicate I’m having contractions they said they are over capacity and can’t do anything for me if I was to go in then. I was told to wait until my contractions were 3 minutes apart, which I did. Forward to several hours later, I checked in at 10am. Checking it at front desk, there was 1 receptionist who was definitely overwhelmed because her response wasn’t pleasant (considering she saw a woman in pain). She sent me to the waiting area until she was ready to check me; waiting about 15 minutes until she called me. I explained my state and she brought me into triage. The nurses in here were very passive because they were ‘overcapacity’. The nurse checked how dilated I was and was hoping I wasn’t at all so I can be discharge. I was 4cm and stayed. The pain was increasing and about 2 hours later I was in agonizing pain and I requested epidural. The nurse said it’s been requested and they’re waiting for me to get called in so that I can get it. For 2 hours, I was told the same thing; as such, I was left without a choice but to wait. We called a nurse into my room because I was bleeding. The nurse that came in, I don’t know her name, seemed to be the head nurse, piss-poor handling of patients might I add, was condescending and disregarded I was going through anything. She just said I was having ‘discharge’ due to having cervix checked, so she thought it would fix the problem to get my a change of undergarments. As she went to do that the pain intensified and another nurse came in and apologized for the long wait for the epidural. As she was talking my water broke, she checked and I was 10cm dilated and rushed to deliver. I was not administered the medication because it was too late and was told to start pushing. While I am delivering, without any pain management which was not my preferred choice, I am yelling and told to PUT ON A MASK and STOP SCREAMING. Firstly I had previously inquired about needing to wear a mask in active delivery and it was confirmed I don’t need to. Secondly, nurses telling you to keep it quiet is so unprofessional and inconsiderate.I understand that it’s stressful for them, however to experience what I did just felt inhumane, disrespectful and unfair.I do have to state that this is not a reflection on Maternal and Child Care - I had 3 nurses in the duration I was there. 2 of the 3 deserve to have my praises; Joan and Fatima were both so caring, respectful, patient and knowledgeable. Joan definitely has many years experience under her belt and it shows. She is phenomenal and any mother should who comes across her is in good hands.

This hospital is a joke, except it’s not even funny. They misdiagnosed a mole pregnancy as a cyst on my ovaries which I could have died from the amount of blood I lost, they utterly failed my father and despite having been seen by their doctors for a multitude of medical emergencies they dismissed our concerns about his health, things we didn’t but know at the time were obvious symptom of esophageal cancer. When his voice was completely gone, and he was no longer able to eat any solid food- then he was diagnosed Stage 4. It was too late for treatment and over the next 40 days I watched my Dad suffer from starvation, silenced unable to speak, until his heart stopped. I blame HRH for this because they failed to acknowledge and act on the signs and symptoms they should have picked up, the red flags that we were waving. After all that, my partner is now their next victim. The psychiatric unit is disgraceful especially the acute care wing. How on earth can someone suffering mental illness have any real hope of “getting better” by being stuck in an empty room with nothing to do all day? Nothing except eat god awful wimpy meals, sleep with a small flat pillow and thin hospital blanket, by taking the medications they hand you, to be treated like a caged animal, your every move under surveillance including in the washroom, and somehow you’re supposed to get better? No counselling, no group therapy, no workshops, no activities, no real treatment plan in affect and this is somehow acceptable? Disturbing is what this is.Stay away from this hospital if you care about your health.

Entered the ER at 7:45 pm yesterday with shortness of breath and chest pain. Within 20 minutes I had an ECG and then sent to next area to be seen by dr. Blood tests done then covid test and x-ray. I was well looked after, especially by Dr. Vincent Brienza. Lovely bedside manner and was very compassionate and professional. Covered all areas. Ended up I have pneumonia and medication was prescribed. All in all, it took 5 hours but satisfied with outcome especially the $10 parking fee. My own family dr, was impressed with how I was taken care of, and that says a lot ❤️
