I understand it's difficult to escape the sprawling hellscape that is southeast Michigan but man calling this an arboretum is a little tragic. It's a decent enough place, hence the three stars, but if you want to actually feel like you are connected to this Earth I'd travel a little to a metro park or other nature center.

Beautiful Park to hike around and play! They have multiple playgrounds, kid sized trails, and a sand play area.

We went after it had rained. It looked nice but we couldn't walk through mulchy area because of the mosquitoes. The area holds in moisture for probably a couple days. The playground was nice too. Appreciated being able to get water inside the facility.

This collection of native Michigan trees is easy to access on maintained trails. Trees (as well as other native plants) are marked for a genuine learning experience. Nearby paved parking.

They put in a brand new playground for the kids that looks amazing. Almost wish I was a kid again lol. The trails through the rain garden are beautiful. I'm very greatful for the wide paved path to take my power chair through it!! So many trees and the signs infront of them give neat information.

Cute park! If you go behind the Senior Center, there is a beautiful little wooded area with a walking path. We saw a deer, rabbits, chipmunks, and tons of birds, including woodpeckers. Very relaxing, and there's even a children's play area with structures.

Smaller than expected but lovely on a crisp, sunny fall day.
