Holiday Inn & Suites Kamloops, an IHG Hotel
Staff was outstanding and very friendly. The room was large with a dining table and bar sink. My dad had his own bedroom and I shared the outer room with my cat. The fold out bed was not that comfortable so on the return trip I slept on the couch (bed folded up inside) which was comfortable. The bedding is in the closet. Do check your bill as they originally charged my room fees ($37 in taxes etc) along with my pet fee when it was a free stay on points. When I pointed that out, the front desk helpfully fixed it all, charged me for my pet separately, and charged the fees to IHG. My uncle who also stayed on points did not have the same issue but he did not have a pet fee.Unfortunately they do not offer free breakfast like the holiday inn express so my aunt and uncle went to the other one on our return back through Kamloops. I'm glad I didn't switch because I discovered they have electric vehicle charging for guests! Used my J1772 adapter for my Tesla which is the common one in the US and got 37 miles/hr charge rate so filled me the rest of the way in less than 7 hours!
