Trapp Arborist Services

Reuben has worked for us on two large projects - 1) large scale tree falling at our cabin (100+ ft trees); and 2) preparing an arborist report for a building permit application on a tricky lot with many trees to inventory. In both cases, he not only did terrific work (the most important attribute when dealing with the dangerous conditions of our projects), but was on time and professional while his pricing was competitive and more than reasonable for the high quality of work that he did. I called several arborists for quotes and opinions on how to deal with our projects and he stood out by a wide margin. We look forward to using Reuben again for our arborist work.

We used Trapp Arborist services to remove a large hanging branch from a snow storm and decided to do a major pruning on this extremely ugly pine tree at the same time. Rueben assessed what we could do and we agreed how much would come off. He climbed the tree and removed some large branches with a chainsaw. He pruned and hand sawed other branches and branch ends using a very long pole pruner while staying inside the tree. In the end, the tree went from the ugliest, most neglected tree in Vancouver to something we don’t mind looking at, and that is quite an accomplishment. On the same day, at least three neighbours complimented the improvement It is now safe from heavy wind and snow loads for many years to come.Reuben is a young hard-working guy. He is professional in his manner. He has helpers available but allowed me to assist so I could save a few dollars and then I was there to also answer detail questions on what I wanted as we went. (I do have a little experience with chainsaws and safety gear so helping is not for everybody but it doesn’t hurt to ask.)He was conscientious throughout so that we did not take off too many branches so that the tree’s health would be maintained.Good service.

Fabulous job! Reuben had to work on some really big trees in on my property. One was dead and the other was quite difficult to navigate. I was really impressed with his speed and efficiency. He responded quickly to emails, he showed up when he said he would and he worked really hard.When he first came by he took a look at the tree and then he took the time to visit google maps to review what the growth looks like during different seasons. This helped him to prune it in such a way that I get plenty of sun on my garden. I was really impressed with his initiative. I would highly highly recommend him.
