Simon is an excellent teacher. I started my guitar lessons with him when I was 8 years old and he was the one who introduced me to the world of classical guitar. His lessons were fun, enjoyable, and fulfilling. When teaching, Simon found pieces that I liked and suited my level. He always encouraged me to perform at my best. Simon guides the student through technical aspects of guitar and also interpretation and self-expression. He is remarkably good at elevating his students to become artists as well as musicians. I've been receiving classical guitar lessons from Simon for a few months, and he's been an excellent teacher in this time. He's a knowledgeable, classically trained guitar enthusiast with great insights into how to improve both one's technique and mindset as a guitarist. I consider myself fortunate to be receiving instruction from someone as skilled in their craft as Simon. My daughter has been under the teaching of Simon for a few months now. Simon is always punctual, professional and makes learning fun. He has talent in not only playing music, but teaching it. She is playing songs only after a few month under his wing, I look forward to seeing how her musical talent will develop over time.

Simon was the first real guitar teacher I ever had, and his influence on my playing was enormous. He introduced me to many new concepts and ideas on the guitar, and helped me explore these ideas in a musical context. Simon also worked hard to prepare me for the pursuit of music at a post-secondary level, and I was impressed with many of the important skills I was able to develop while I was studying with him. My guitar playing absolutely improved by a very significant amount because of Simon. He is an excellent teacher.
