Sad place, had to give them 1 star dur to google.Very poor workmanship , had them fix a clasp and when it stopped working again after year they said buy a new one for $80+ or try to fix the one they installed. Save your $$ and go to Anna's off Bow trail much better, I also got a clasp from them for a different piece about 5 years back and it still works fine, will take this is them also. I WILL NEVER GO BACK and recommend you just don't go.

Had a difficult to adjust watch worked on here. Top notch and friendly service from George, and they managed to adjust the watch bracelet that I thought might not have been able to have been saved (stripped pins). Great shop

Went in today to get the batteries replaced on 2 different watches. I was worried about 1 of them, as I haven't worn it over 10 years. Was told to come back in 20 minutes (to my surprise and delight)--grabbed a Starbucks and checked out a super cool store called Evoked a few stores down. Returned 23 minutes later and both watches were back up and running. $50 with tax, seems reasonable. Top-notch customer service; the fellow working (likely the owner or Manager) was very kind, polite and professional. Highly recommend! If you need your watch(es) fixed or the battery replaced, forget The Bay, go to theses guys!

It seems like they are dishonest.I brought a watch for a new battery. They charged me $38.90 for a new battery. I immediately noticed that my watch still wasn’t working - the clerk convinced me there must be another problem so I sent it to the manufacturer who replaced the battery and the watch works perfectly. ??

Do Not bring your jewelry here for repair! They don't call with an estimate, as they said they would, before doing work worth hundreds of dollars! (I would have refused the work to be done at the inflated price had I been notified as promised!) Then they didn't do the repair correctly, and charged ANOTHER couple hundred to fix THEIR terrible craftsmanship! Customer service severely lacks! Stay away from this business!

STAY AWAY from this business.Very poor workmanship and customer service. No people skills whatsoever. The previous owners were lovely people who repaired a ring purchased there at no charge. I no longer live in Alberta but dropped the ring there for repair when passing through as a small diamond had fallen out. I was disappointed to see the change in ownership and not overly surprised to be charged for the repair but was subjected to a lecture on why they had to charge what they did, how they had to match the colour of the diamond…on and on. (We’re talking about a very very tiny diamond). The repair was paid for and we returned to our home out of province. Later that day I noticed that the stone had fallen out. I sent a letter (they don’t offer an email address) along with a computer dated picture of the ring showing the stone missing and a copy of the receipt, advising that an appropriate response would be to return the charges. Not surprisingly……no response. I have spent a lot of money in that store over the years on an extensive amber collection and was prepared to purchase another piece. It was a favourite stop on our visits to Calgary …..but…no more!! Their loss! A horrible experience. Next step….a report to the Better Business Bureau.

If there's anything less than one star, that's what I would give. This store is a scam especially for repairs. They messed up my chain and was dishonest about being able to repair real gold. After several hours, I got my broken chain back with more damages. I wish I read reviews before I went there for my repairs. All the bad reviewed i read here are legit and authentic because I witnessed it too. If you need your precious metal intact, please avoid this store. They also have bad customer service. I took my gold chain to another jeweller and they could tell immediately that someone previously worked on it poorly. That was how bad it was. Please AVOID THIS STORE!!!

I can see why they are closing shop! I bought a ring here for $150.00 and less than a week later the band turned black. I couldn’t find my receipt so couldn’t return it. Big waste of money. Never stepped foot in this jewellers again.

Above and beyond service today. We needed a watch fixed (minor issue with wristband) and a ring shaped. The shopkeeper gladly stayed longer a bit after hours to repair both items. Service was fast. Thank you so much!
