Simply waste of time and tax payers’ money! If you guys go online, you will realize many people saying that this organization’s hiring process was indeed, through friendship.....Needless to say this organization is absolutely useless. I personally had filed 2 reports:1) Back In May, 2016, I had filed Allegations against Nexus Travel Group, in Richmond Vancouver, for falsifying the content to consumers, and its bus drivers OPENLY ENCOURAGE tourists to obtain Foreign citizenship through FAKE MARRIAGE...I had provided six evidence, including Voice Record, Photos, all these evidence clearly show that Nexus Travel Group put Tourists in GREAT RISK!The entire game is like a soccer, kicking back and forth. This agency said,” Oh you should contact associates of Tour Groups in Canada.......”Later,” OH this event took place in Australia, you should contact them instead...”Australian :” this is purely a Canadian company, the transaction took place in Vancouver, B.C.”By the end,” they called me saying, OH, OUR DUTY IS TO ENDURE EVERY SECTION OF THE CONTRACT HAS BEEN THOROUGHLY CONDUCTED. In your case the contract has been executed, we therefore consider it to be closed”......Seriously? From now on I finally realize why the heck, does our government keep complaining overspending on budget....... as taxpayer, we shall seriously consider in not paying tax to Government, because they DID NOT DO OUR FAVOR!

They actually did a good job on their part. What sucks about taxi complaints is the branch in the government, who has to be the one actually dealing with it, as that’s who it gets forwarded to, doesn’t care. I got an inspector from the BC gov that said “so what do you want me to do about it?” When all the facts are clearly stated, the deputy inspector from the government’s answer is asking me what to do?That’s ridiculous. And the facts were beautifully laid out by whoever that had to deal with my case. However, it was likely that the case ended up nowhere as the gov didn’t care.

This organisation is awful. My husband NEEDS this licence to work. It's been almost 6 weeks and no one will tell us what's happening with his application other than 'its under review'. Wow, way to screw with someone's life. And we had to pay $800 for this!? How do I file a complaint against them?

It only takes one phone call to this place to see why it has such terrible ratings. The man answering the phone is incompetent, you're better off listening to an automated system than attempting to use him as a resource. This business has to be a joke.

Imagine my surprise when this spring, two years after lodging a complaint against a contractor who took my deposit and then disappeared, I got a notice that I was receiving half of my money back! (As per negotiations suggested by BBB.) I'd received a lot of contact at the start of my listing, then sporadic through 2 years as attempts to contact/negotiate with the contractor went on, and then finally - notice that I got my settlement! Fantastic that they carried on against such a business so reluctant to do things legitimately! Thanks much to the team for pursuing justice for so long! Advice to all - make and keep written documents of every single transaction/discussion (text/email) you may have with a contractor. (Consumer Protection BC was able to use my submitted info to enact actions to encourage" my contractor to comply.)"

Consumer Protection has been little to no help when it concerns the payday loan industry and taxi companies. When trying to get a clear and concise response about the payment plan for a payday loan all I got was a grey area answer. Simply that I qualify and must show on my documents but they failed to give me answer as whether I have to use it if I don't want to and if I'm allowed to just pay in full. And why does it have to be three payments why not four to make it cheaper? As a result I'm forced into a repayment agreement that I don't want to use. As for the taxi companies they are not clear on what fees they can charge and these companies vary depending on which region of BC you use them in. It seems they are only concerned about the cost of taxi services in the lower mainland. On a positive note though, the fees for a payday loan did drop this year which was very welcoming but as a whole I feel like Consumer Protection does not understand anything about the consumers that use the industries this non-profit" organization regulates. I feel like they are just in it for the money just like the payday loan industry. Anytime they fine a company

Good job! We Need them to mandate businesses especially some businesses that are not following the rules. It's also beneficial to have them to have a better consumer services towards people.

Tried to file a complaint about my cellphone service provider last year but it took me like forever for someone to answer the call. And I really didn’t feel my complaint was taken seriously all the representative did was giving me a list of numbers and asked to call them to get things sorted out! Ridiculous.
