Hercules Moving Company Vancouver

TERRIBLE experience with this company. I had a cross country move from Halifax to Vancouver and that was already stressful enough in itself. The rep that was helping me was very unreliable. He said he was going to call me back MULTIPLE times (by a certain time frame) but I would have to be the one constantly checking in to see if everything was in order. The worst part was how they packed our TV. They put the bubble wrap on the BACK of the TV.. so the front was obviously scratched. One of our computer monitors also broke. I emailed them and told them about this. They just told me how they only cover $0.60/lb for any damaged items unless you purchase the extended protection. But I thought it seemed pretty self explanatory to bubble wrap the FRONT of the TV.. I emailed them saying how unhappy we were with the experience and we have yet to hear back from them. It has been 3 weeks since. Would not recommend them, or if you do use them, you will 100% need to purchase the extended protection because they clearly can't pack things properly.

Moving with Hercules Moving Company was a game-changer for our family's long-distance relocation from Toronto to Victoria Island. I have to admit, I was a bit worried about the delivery timeline, but they surprised me by getting everything to our new home within 2 weeks. Not a single damage or missing item! We did a cross country move from Toronto to Vancouver. This is only a review on the Vancouver experience as well as our correspondence post move.*Damage / Poor care of goods*The movers worked quickly to unload our items into a storage unit but did not take care of our items. Some of our bins arrived with damage on the lids (the worst one pictured) and many other dents and dings. We also noticed inappropriate stacking methods - One colleague put bins on top of tires (pictured). When I mentioned this to him, he was taken aback and asked in that case they could leave everything in front of the storage locker and leave to me to load then inside. They didn't actually do that though, finishing in a reasonable amount of time.*Poor communication on insurance*When we asked about the damage, the phone rep said we are entitled to $0.60 per lb because we declined" the value insurance. This is a problem because we specifically asked about value insurance on the phone back in Toronto

This company is a scam and very unprofessional! We hired them for an in country move and everything seemed fine on the pick-up but then at the time of drop-off they said they had 'left 2 valuable items' behind at another wear-house because it didn't fit in this truck (it all fit in the pick-up truck). The customer service at that point was even more appalling, rather than apologize and provide a plan for our items to be delivered they tried to make us feel as though this was acceptable....somehow movers aren't supposed to move all your items. Finally they basically threatened and blackmailed us to pay the moving cost the day of or they would take all the items away. A month later, we still have no word on our items that were 'left behind' and no follow-up from the company. This is a scam, highly recommend going with another business!

They took great care of moving my possessions. Made sure the antique pieces were properly wrapped in moving blankets. Recently did a cross country move from Toronto to Vancouver with Hercules Moving Company, and was blown away by their service. Their movers are professional, honest, efficient and punctual, and all of my belongings arrived undamaged. I’ve used many other moving companies over the years, and Hercules was by far the best! I will say, they do cost more than other moving companies, but you’re paying for quality and professionalism.

The billing was well explained and we received paperwork at the beginning and end of the move.All our things arrived without damage. We appreciated the phone calls keeping us up to date on the arrival of our goods In British Columbia.
