The staff work as a team to be helpful, accomodating and caring. They make a big effort to keep the residents' safe during the Covid 19 lockdowns and strive to maintain regular communication with family members.

My Aunt Isabel lived at St. Lawrence for 4 years. During her time, the staff was very attentive and helpful.Special mention goes out to the nursing staff under the direction of Patti Hewitt. Patti is a credit to her profession and became my confidant and angel in Aunt Isabel's last months. I came to feel a friendship with Patti. I always knew she was there for me. Tears, frustrations and anger; she listened to me. Gave hugs. Gave support.The Personal Support Works and Nurses gave Aunt Isabel extra attention as she did not leave her room. Aunt Isabel was visited daily by the nursing staff. They became her extended family.Special mention also goes out to Diane, the housekeeper. Always pleasant. Would make Aunt Isabel coffee while she cleaned Aunt Isabel's room. Diane also made sure we as a family had what needed and always asked if she could do more.The activities director, Sarah Cobb became very close to Aunt Isabel. Sarah would bring her daughter into work sometime to help out with different functions and activities. Sarah would take her to visit Aunt Isabel. So very sweet.Last but not least is Ron. Ron the maintenance magician. Anything I asked him to do for Aunt Isabel, he did. Right to the end, Ron was helpful. Bringing me tools so the movers could take furniture apart. Helping to take down a blind in the living room.Aunt Isabel passed away May 9, 2023. I know she was loved at St. Lawrence and will be deeply missed due to the relationships she built. St. Lawrence became part of Aunt Isabel's family and I will be forever grateful for that.

While enjoying entertaining your residents, the atmosphere of vibrant downtown Kingston made the experience very special. Very helpful staff too, thank you. 'Jimmy's Old Time Radio Show'
