Very good flavours! their use of local and organic grain is wonderful. The pretzels and cheesy twists were amazing. I didn't get to try their breads, but from what I saw, they looked a little more german style, and a little denser than I prefer. I'll leave that choice to you. But their natural flavours and aromas are great.

Great food. Some of the staff are very unfriendly.. one of the ladies was very short and impatient with me. Lots of attitude. I wouldn’t go back if she was working. However the young man is fantastic!!

This bakery is a life saver for me. I thought I was facing a lifetime without wheat bread due to an intolerance BUT the wonderful staff at True Grain walked me through a step by step process of inroduction and I AM able to tolerate these wonderful ancient grains!! Now rather than feeling cursed, I am blessed with the most delicious and healthful breads!!! Thank you!!!

Great flour and baked goodies. Full staff. Ancient grain has only a little gluten. I can eat their bread with no problems.

Great bakery atmosphere! I am on the hunt for the best cinnamon bun in town and theirs tasted good: a little heavy on the dough, could have used more icing (creamcheese?) and coming in a $4 I’ll have to keep looking. I still ate it all though... as I said it was good, not fantastic but good.

Whooppee! We used to have to drive to Cowichan Bay to get True Grain goodies. Now they have a location in Courtenay. Wonderful breads made from the best wheats, delicious sweets. The cappuccino was not great, they need to get their new staff trained up, but we'll be here a lot.

Shopping here is addictive! Enter this bakery of fresh baked bread and pastries and it's very hard to resist (I can't) their appetizing goods and delightful bakery aromas. It's organic, and so fresh, you can see it coming out the oven! Great staff and atmosphere. Highly recommended!
